Sharing 1.8GB video from android never seems to finish 'preparing'

Pixel4 Android version immich 1.71, the video is a 'shared' asset from a partners assets.
How long should it take to prepare a video file this size?

Good question, I haven't shared a video that large before. Has it finished?

hmm I just switched back to immich on the device and it is just at the main screen/timeline, it didnt seem to give any options to share anywhere.

should this function transcode the video and makes it a more shareable size? or give a link to the video?

sorry didnt try... it looks like it shares an attachment (when trying with a smaller asset)

it finishes. I restarted my device and tried again since it seemed to crash the first time. after that it was about 20-30m? However the file is still too big to share to Signal. At the moment there isnt a way to share this as far as I can tell.

yeah, right now it download the file from the server then write it into a temp file on the device before it get shared I believe and it download the original file
