No this is not related to the language. This hinge holds a lid and it has seized from the rust. It needs a lot of force to move it even a little bit, so much that I push the whole machine it's part of. The lid should be able to be lifted off the hinge but I tried with all my force and failed.

if you don't have rust remover, i'd try hot vinegar, ideally concentrated/distilled

#

it'll need some time to work tho, multiple hours

I tried with WD

#

Trouble is that I don't think the liquid can penetrate

it's a 380V machine that mixes and freezes a mixture to make tasty ice cream

is there a repair manual?

#

I would hope that they included one particularly for something that requires 380 V

#

there is

#

it just tells you to lift it

#

but I can't cause it's rusted over

# raven pumice I tried with WD

WD-40, let it sit for 10-20 min adding more as area drys.

Deeply rusted parts like this need time for the oil to penetrate

I tried that

Next best option is to apply heat to the pin while applying ice to the outer part to force a thermal gap.

Looks to be aluminum so shouldn't need much
If its stainless steel tho gonna be a pain

raven pumice
#

That sounds like a much better plan

#

Oh I'm pretty sure it's stainless

I bet they used a Galvanized steel pin
Smh they caused galvanic corrosion by bad design
