it's more about feeling in control when british gas inevitably try and swindle me
(such as right now when i have FOUR bills from them on my desk across two three accounts for one address)
If you don't care about ideologies/privacy then Google gives 15GB of drive space per account for free and Oracle has Free Tier VPS stuff if you want to setup DIY. I don't currently know/care what are the best VPS hosts if you have money to spend on those per month.
i recommend changing title otherwise people will recommend backup stuff like Jaska already did

You can create folders per category, I don't understand how these differ unless you refuse to organise neatly into folders

the idea is that you can do things like assign tags etc which can allow for more complexity than other stuff
Band-aid tags implementation: include tags in filenames and search for filenames (in specific folders)
why? there are solutions for this out there, like paperless-ngx just didnt recommend that because its not directly bills related
