For the past two days, ChatGPT 4 has not been working, although the 3.5 model is functioning properly. I have a Plus subscription. I contacted the support team yesterday regarding this issue but received nothing beyond the usual recommendations to check my browser, VPN, cookies, etc. I've tried accessing my account on both Chrome and Edge, cleared all cookies, and attempted to connect in Incognito mode. Additionally, I've checked the mobile version of your official ChartGPT app on iPhone. I'm not using any VPN and am currently located in Europe. I haven't made any changes to the Firewall settings in Windows 11. According to your status website, everything seems fine with all systems operational. However, I'm unable to use ChatGPT 4 as I keep receiving the message "Hmm...something seems to have gone wrong." Upon inspecting the developer console in Chrome, I noticed the following error: POST https://chat.openai.com/backend-api/conversation 500 (Internal Server Error). I've also attempted to connect from various internet providers, including home, office, and mobile data, but unfortunately, without success.

whatever topic when i am using gpt-4 to establish new conversation ,then it would response Hmm...something seems to have gone wrong.,tried many times ,no one want to solve this ?

Adding a +1 here. I'm having the same issue. GPT-3.5 is working fine, but as soon as I switch to GPT-4 or Dall-E, I get the same error message as mentioned by Alekho and ssubsin.

The same issue started yesterday and continuing today. Non of the solutions they provided in help chat works.

Same here, glad it’s not just me. Fun fact - just tried different account and GPT-4 works just fine, so this is not an issue on our ends.

+1 here, i had this issue since 17 April. I have tried Google (Windows), iOS App and Safari (MacOS). Another friend of mine that has GPT-4 has no issues.

Same problem here. 2 days not working. I'm on Team account. Only 3.5. Support not helping at all.

Report to support chat. It takes few minutes and this is the only option we have.

Having the same issue foir like two days. 4.0 does not work on any of my systems. iOS, MacOS using Safarti or Chrome, Windows with Chrome. Everywhere the same response, "Hmm...something....". Already reported twice over the chat but that did not help. First got a response but then after providing furher details, no response since yesterday.

Having the same issue gpt3.5 works so the problem is isolated to 4.0. I had the same problem since wednesday night. have tried different browsers(edge,chrome firefox), vpn, login and out, clear cache cookie. Tried the android app. But nothing makes a difference.

So basically it is down but i dont know why openai doesnt report it as downtime.

Same problem.

DIfferent PCs , different browsers and Android app, deleting chats, cache, cookies, re-login, reboot, nothing helps.
Bascially, I am currently paying subscription for nothing.

Support bot just tells me to watch service status, which is green as a summer grass, that was so helpful.

P.S. 3.5 works fine, but i do not use it.

Here I just re subscribed after being off for two months and going to Claude. I come back and 4-Turbo won't work for me. This is pretty annoying.

Hello, i have the same problem from 5 hours ago. Im in France now and dont know how its gonna evolve. Very curious to see y’all talking about exactly the same problem in EUROPE in plus and nobody in OPENAI done any comments. What is happening ???

thanks for sorting things out.
it's the first time i've experienced something like this, so it must have been quite serious. it would be helpful if there were reports explaining what happened. that would be great. also, it would have been better to acknowledge the problem right away and put up a banner saying that work is underway, so people don't worry. instead, there were just responses about cookies not being right and maybe vpn issues... not exactly the most reassuring.
