#Builder Profile Without using Billing Name or a website link.

Same, but I dont think its possible atm
I would love to be able to set a displayname or just use the openai username instead of billing name
There are all kinds of privacy reasons why ppl wouldn't want their real name used in this case. Also, not everyone's GPT will have a dedicated website!
You can make a public GPT and also be anonymous, just make sure not to set up your builder profile. If you already did, go to your builder profile settings and toggle the stuff off. You won't be able to publish to the nonexistent store but you'll be able to share links to your creations
Yep, the preview should look like this if you toggled stuff off correctly
You can't make it public though. I've built some cool GPTs but can't release them.
Yeah, but I can't make my GPTs public if I select that.
I agree , hopefully this is addressed before the store is launched
Also like a team feature to make gpts with other people would be nice
This is a real issue. My workplace pays for my subscription so that I can stay up to date and help keep decision-makers up to date, but I would cannot publish anything saying my employing company made it.
right now setting it to "public" doesn't make a difference from "anyone with the link". The store hasn't been released yet. If you want, you can put a different name in your billing information and that's what will be displayed on your builder profile
You can do that with Assistants already I think, but yeah it would be an idea.
I know it doesn't matter yet. Not sure changing the billing name would be a good idea though?
as long as you don't use a name that's on the terrorists list you should be fine I think xD
you can toggle off the name and use a domain instead
I don't want to publish my name like that online, that is my issue. The other choice is just to keep the GPTs I've made for myself and other people I know.
I don't have a domain, unless OpenAI start offering that as a service too. lol.
just set it to anyone with the link and you'll be able to remain anonymous. The store still isn't out so it's basically the same thing
Do you think they will change things before the Store becomes a thing?
No idea, that's not public info and this is new stuff. They like to shuffle things around tho. At this point if they release the store with the requirements as they are, your choices are basically:
- Change your name in your billing settings to something safe
- Register a domain name
- Publish as "anyone with the link"
