I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the official ChatGPT and still every time I try and create an image the chat GPT app crashes on my Samsung Fold 5 Android smartphone. I am a paid subscriber to the plus package.

Hooray! Someone else is having the same problem! I thought it was just my phone or me. I'm experiencing the same issue and it was so devastating that I deleted a lot of data just to try to get it to work and it still didn't work. I tried uninstalling reinstalling purging cash clearing data resetting phone multiple times and nothing worked and no forum can fix it but now I signed up here and I'm so happy to find that someone else has the issue so hopefully that will help spur them to actually reply to us and work on it fix or tell us how to remedy it on our end. For reference, I have an Android also and it's another brand than yours, and I had a crash on image generation before when the thread was too long so I created a new thread this time and it still crashes when I send an image creation request on that beta for d a l l e.
And yes I'm also a plus subscriber.
Thank you sir for joining me on this difficult journey! I have tears in my eyes because it's been so many hours of frustration and fear and it's really nice to know that someone else is with me on this path I don't feel alone anymore thank you so much.

Are you signed up for the beta on the Play Store? If not, try that. Might have to uninstall/reinstall once beta finishes enrolling. I got the new version this morning and the crash doesn't seem to happen anymore.

What version of the app are you running? I'm signed up for the beta in Google Play and that got me version 1.2023.307 this morning, which fixed it for me
