Gpt4 is available to the (paying) public. So the public announcement at least. But… 🤷‍♂️ I also don’t have access to, even if I’m a paying customer

Paid bill twice meanwhile, once in July, once in August.
Still no access to GPT4
How are the rules currently?

@proven valve @thorny sorrel GPT-4 rollout has temporarily been placed on hold.

Is there an announcement about the rollout being on hold? I've been looking and have failed to find anything

Weird because I literally just got access. 24 hours after the last bill.

While I’m happy with the results I think OpenAI has to go over its internal and external communication and information sharing.

While a month ago it was announced in a vague way that access will be given, many additional details came to light in threads like these… now to be dismissed as “on hold” while in fact it doesn’t seem on hold, just delayed

This surely isn’t reassuring the customer trust in a firm.
But in the end… not my business

So if you haven't used the API past your "free trial" and paid at least $1.00, that may be a reason.

Please note I do not work for OpenAI and I can only go by what I have heard or what I have read.

No, I paid well over 1 dollar 😅
In the end - I’ve access now. So for me, resolved.
