Depends, there are multiple models. Subscription, bring your own key, credits or some mixture of them. Up to you to decide. With the different priced models you should probably offer different tiers with access to different models.

depends who you are selling to. small businesses and individuals tend to hate metered billing and will pay more for a fixed fee. enterprises and power users expect metered billing. thats just experience ive had from selling our current saas

I expect GPT4 price to come down... until then there is a 30X price difference and it does behave differently than GPT3.5.
