i had a plus account like for a three weeks and then somewhere 10 days before the end of the subscription period it changed to the free plan
i now renewed my subscription thinking it may solve the issue - it charged my card but still on a free plan!

I'm writing to ask if you had our same issue regarding our recent upgrade to the Plus plan on OpenAI. We upgraded our account a few days ago, but it seems like the platform is not recognizing the upgrade.
We are particularly interested in accessing GPT-4, but unfortunately, we haven't been able to do so since the upgrade. We would greatly appreciate it if someone from your team could help us troubleshoot this issue and provide us with a solution to access GPT-4. Already opened a chat in the support but seems that no one is replying.
We have already tried logging out and logging back in, clearing our browser cache, and using a different browser, but none of these solutions have worked. We believe that there may be an issue with our account that needs to be resolved on your end.

I was a happy Plus user, my Master card has been successfully charged for Plus subscription today around 6.50pm. And suddenly I discover that I was downgraded to Free, without any reason or notice.
Not sure if I’d use the word scam….but the lack of any kind of commutation in the part of OpenAI is extremely frustrating and disappointing.
At least you can get in, there are a whole host of ppl who can’t even access their account at all.
As a IT person, I do understand that bug is not preventable. I just wish they would at least release some information on blog/twitter

I was just able to log in using an incognito window in chrome. I had cleared my cache. now trying clearing everything except passwords.....
Mine cleared up after clearing all data in my browsers except for password data.

Happened to me too. I was stupid enough to do it twice, so have paid $40 with no access.
I had a look to see what was going on the second time. It looks like a gateway error on the stripe webhook callback url (the '/success' route). No response from support despite multiple messages and emails
It looks like this is only occurring on Google Auth accounts. The ‘/payments/success’ route has no issue on a non-google-auth account, but has the bad gateway error on the google auth account. My guess is that is route applies the successful payment/subscription status to the account, so with the bad gateway error, the “upgrade” is not successful, despite payment being taken in Stripe.

Not having access to GPT4 for days now, plus all these people having billing issues I just went ahead and canceled my membership. I love supporting new tech but OpenAI is at comcast levels of customer support and it's not worth the headache until they can get better support or a more stable product.

If you are still encountering issues with your Plus membership not showing you can now go to https://help.openai.com and use the live chat bot in the bottom left and select "Billing" and then "Unable to access ChatGPT Plus"

I used help center and no one see my message from 4 days ago. I'm having similar problem. I made my last payment on June 4th. However, I'm encountering the same problem and after 10 days my plus account back to normal account and I can't use ChatGPT4 anymore. It say I should Renew my account.
It's very unfortunate when this kinf of things happens, all I can say is there are a limited number of people working flat out to get to everyone and you will be delt with, but it may take several weeks, you can also try emailing support@openai.com

Hi all, when I subscribed Plus on iOS. I was presented with:
"You're all set. Your purchase was sucesssful"
Clicked "OK"
"Error The subscription is associated with another OpenAI account. Please login with that account to access it, or visit help.openai.com for support."
I was charged but I am still in basic. I contacted support and no one responded. I was trying to see if anyone had the same issue and how was it got resolved... Much appreciated.
About six months ago, I subscribed to ChatGPT Plus.
However, my account still remains on the Basic plan, and I have been unable to access ChatGPT Plus.
When I contacted support@openai.com, I was informed that the subscription may be associated with a different email address. I exchanged several messages with the support team afterward, but I was ultimately advised to contact my credit card company, as they were unable to resolve the issue.
I then contacted my credit card company, but they responded that this is a matter between the contracting parties and should be resolved directly between us. They also stated that if the issue cannot be resolved, I should contact the consumer affairs center in Japan.
I relayed this information to support@openai.com again, but I have not received any response since then.
I am still being charged, and I am unable to stop the payments, which is causing me significant distress.
I am a student, and I subscribed because I wanted to try using Codex. I cannot afford to continue paying $20 per month.
Could you please advise me on how to obtain a refund and stop the ongoing charges?
