Show me please, what you are doing, and how it is responding.
Try in English, so I can follow along. I'm sorry, you mentioned Dutch, you're right I can't understand that.
But show me with anything you can.
im gonna rewrite the request in english
You can ask the bot to help translate too ๐
I understand how to see it
oh wait
Question.
When you say, "integrate the following citations without changing the total amount of words"
What do you mean? Explain another way please
I have the full message, concluding with 'sectoren."'
I can work with this, including the other language, or try. Though English would be better, because we're supposed to only use English here.
But I need to understand what exactly you are trying to get the bot to do, before I can help you find a way to try and get it done
those 2 citations i put in the top are citations from websites called business insider and kaspersky. i want those citations to be added to the bigger text. not to be copy and pasted in the beginning of the text. but make sure that the bot adds those citations in the right place so and after those citations it should mention that its from those sources. for example "blah blah blah [citation] (the source, the year) blah blah blah)
So, I am going to ask you to try to show me how you want this stuff done, because I am confused by what you are asking.
You have 'citation 1' and 'citation 2'. You have 'a bigger text' that you haven't shown me, correct?
i will send you "citation 1" "citation 2" and the "big text" so you know what is what
You appear to have sent citations 1 and 2.
I don't need the big text to answer. I need to ask more questions
i have sent citation 1 and 2 and the big text
i cant send those here cuz i just got 1 min timeout for it
i will do it in a txt file
Do you want this format:
"big text" -exactly as is.
"citation 1" -exactly as is.
"citation 2" -exactly as is.
Is that what you are asking the bot for?
or what else?
Oh. "in this text:" is the big text
"inmiddels is the start of citation 1
"Een is the start of citation 2
Correct?
If so, I don't get what "Dit is
I want to help, but I am not understanding what you are wanting to get as the result.
Perhaps use google translate to explain in a language you speak fluently, and then turn that into English.
I understand that you want help somehow combining the texts, but I don't understand how you want them combined
i dont have specific way that it should be combined, i just let the bot to combine it however it wants, but i want it to be added somewhere in the big text. the bot should find the right place where the citation would be helpful be in and add it there
and i can explain this best in english, the problem with me explaining it, is that i cant find the right words in any language to explain my thoughts and idea of what i want to do and i think that this is why chatgpt is having trouble with helping me
You had said "integrate the following citations without changing the total amount of words"
That is super specific and very limiting
Do you in fact just want the citations combined?
yeah, i want it to be combined with the text.
i added the "without changing the total amount of words" because when i didn't say it it shortned the text
that request didn't change anything so i decided to make a prompt that explains my request to see if the bot understands me right or not
Question. Let me provide examples.
Big text is " XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX"
Citation 1 is "Citation 1 words"
Citation 2 is "Citation 2 words"
Are you wanting a final thing like:
"XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Citation 1 words XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Citation 2 words XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX"
Where the words of citation 1 and 2 are unchanged?
Or paraphrasing is fine?
paraphrasing is fine as long as it mentions the source right after it
You may need to correct the citation to look like what you want. Are you fine with doing that?
what do you mean?
You may need to rewrite the bot output to add in citations as you wish to see them
I translated everything into English, so i think I understand a little better
no but the problem isn't combining these two together. the bot does that. but in the process it shortens the output text and it becomes shorter than the big text i had in the input. i wanted the bot to explain the question i asked him before he answered so i could see if he understands it right
so for example i told him to combine those texts together and make sure it doesn't make the final text shorter. and it explains me the question but he skipped the request about the amount of words. i can correct him and tell him about the amount of words again so he doesn't forget that he shouldn't shorten the text
thats good
Good.
What you are trying to do, insert the text a certain way, might be easier for you to do than teach it to do ๐
that said, keep experimenting, and when you find a good way, maybe come back and show us all!
It's the kind of things that could have its own entry in the #1019652163640762428 if you are willing to share
its easier to do this one text alone, but this a small example of the texts i want to combine in the future and with a right prompt i want to automatize it.
and the prompt you gave me first works but im trying to find out why it doesn't work with this certain request i have
but thanks
