Yes, I want to implement the new chatgpt api as well. It will depend on the task whether to use it or not (ideally all tasks would use it but for some text-davinci-003 might be better). I need to add chatgpt support to the Rubberduck templates, which is why it takes a bit longer.

Hi, first of all, thank you for this great extension. After a few hours, I already ditched all other VSCode GPT apps 😅 It's helping me learn to code much faster :D. I've just got one suggestion. Could you cut the messages after some token usage? Maybe I talk too much in one sitting, but I always reach the 4096 limits 😅
With my own Streamlit app, I got around this with a quick and dirty fix by removing half of the messages when I reached a specific token count. Could you do something similar?

Regarding the threads, I recommend starting new threads when you have a new topic (if you're not doing that already). It might help a bit with the token limit (but I can defintely see it on longer conversations).
