Profile Optimization & Offer Creation with ChatGPT

A thread on how I coached ChatGPT to learn about my business, develop service offerings, and creatively extrapolate on ideas.

In this thread I'm going to break down how I used ChatGPT to create an offer for my Google Business Profile.

Prior to this (in other chats) I've been experimenting with using natural language to teach the AI some basics about myself, my business, service offerings, and more. So this wasn't my first rodeo going at this, nor is this example perfect. Simply a walkthrough on what I did to achieve satisfying results.

The very first prompt I gave it was this:

I’d like your response options presented in a Markdown Table.
The columns should be as follows: Offer title, Offer description/details, customer benefits and value, idea for the offer image.

Get creative with the ideas. Feel free to use your knowledge of photography trends, as well as U.S. holidays and events happening around this time. It is currently January 12, 2023. ```

The AI fed me this

Not bad. But still not quite what I was looking for. As you can see most of the offers it came up with were seasonally related. I wasn't specific enough with the last paragraph in the original input. so here's what I told it to do next:

I want 5 more ideas, same format. This time forget about the seasons. I’d like more ideas based around my service offerings. 

Consider offers about photography, videography, content creation, B2B services, voiceover, etc. Get creative ```

This time around, it definitely locked in on the service keywords I gave it. We're getting somewhere...

So in order to get a result that was more in line with my brand voice. I had to ask ChatGPT to get a little bit more creative with it's responses.

Here's the prompt I fed it:
How about some more ideas for photography based services. Give each one a spicy title. Include something fun in the description.

The offer names it comes up with in the next picture are great. And I totally plan on revisiting some of these ideas for future offerings.

Do you see how you just have to keep asking it to improve on what it's outputting?

Now here's where the magic happens..

I asked it

Now can you generate 3 unique service descriptions for my portrait photography service? 
This description shouldn’t be based on me, but more about the technical offerings & deliverables that come with booking a headshot or portrait session.```

And #2 of it's responses really struck a chord with me.

Next I asked it

For option #2, Headshot Hero. I’d love to hear some great taglines for this. Could you generate 5 different options for fun, catchy, or informative taglines to include with this title? (e.g. 20% off in store or online)

What are some fun coupon code options for this service?

If you have a Google My Business Profile these are fields that it asks you to fill in to have a complete offer.

And it gets even more amazing. Remember service description #2? This is how I had the AI expand on this idea.

Here I really set parameters for it to work around. Mentioning and paraphrasing things, adding creative details, using a specific tone, and keeping the responses within a certain character limit.

Notice how long of an input I gave compared to the others..

Also mention that I have a home studio which also doubles as a mobile studio. Feel free to add any other details that you think would be relevant or convincing to a potential customer. 
Please note each response should not be more than 1200 characters.

Here’s my current service description:
"Our headshot photography service is perfect for business professionals, actors, and models. 

We understand the importance of a strong online presence and a professional image. Our sessions include a pre-shoot consultation to discuss your needs and preferences, professional hair and makeup, multiple background changes, and a variety of poses and expressions. 

You will receive high-resolution digital images with basic retouching included, and have the option to purchase additional prints, albums, and photo products."```

I can't remember which response I chose to use as my base, but by the end you will see how it all came together..

Next I asked it to work on writing a new statement that would engage a specific audience.

Write this statement “Our headshot photography service is perfect for business professionals, actors, and models. “ 

Your response should start with “If you’re a…”

Be sure to list more than 3 professionals who could benefit from a professional headshot. Please generate 4 different responses.```

So I think I got mostly everything I needed.

At this point I took a copy of all of it's responses and rewrote & reformatted the copy to align with my actual service offering and to include all of the other copy elements it provided.

If I'm not mistaken, the next prompt is what ended up being my complete offer copy.

So! With all that information, I took the copy into my editor and came up with this final offer.

As I mentioned in the beginning, this is mainly for Google My Business, but I will likely transcend this same offer to Facebook Marketplace, and some other local community apps.

I am a graphic designer as well and made this artwork to go along with the offer. Which are the next 2 images.

And I should mention that, this offer went live, yesterday (January 13, 2023)

I haven't received any leads or sales yet from this offer, but I have used similar conversations with GPT3 to craft other forms of sales copy which have won me customers over the last 2 weeks.

I've really been enjoying using this as a sales and marketing assistant. It's truly been revolutionary to my marketing process.

I frequently use the phrases "elaborate", and "restate this with X consideration". This allows it to go into further details, and to restate the info with more clarity. I would do this after any output of detailed information given.

Ive used it to create campaigns for D&D, used for creating marketing emails, and tested with creation of stories like creepypastas, and got it to elaborate and further detail the story. It seems to be useful across the board if worded carefully.
