I'm by no means someone actually working in the AI sphere but I doubt it will come in the near future, based on my experience with various other AI tools. AI currently does not have a way to verify whether something it's writing is factual. With text AI for example you can ask it to write an informational article and it could start completely true and accurate then veer off into nonsense partway through, or sprinkle in random false facts.
but THAT being said, it would not surprise me if once Dall-E2 API access is readily available and people are developing apps based on it, that someone might create an infographic generator where you would need to enter all of the information yourself and then dall-e would only be used to sort of "fill in the blanks" between the information - draw charts based on the information you entered, etc.
Like I could see it being used to build the layout of an infographic that you hand-write (type) all the text for, but I could never see it (in its current iteration) gathering facts and generating infographics based on it all on its own
