Hello, I am an artist and maker of various types. One thing I’ve done is create a deck of tarot cards that divert from tradition in many ways. I’ve drawn many decks on my own, but have always wanted to find a better artist than me to collaborate on drawing a really good deck, using my new archetypes/icons. I naively thought that DALL-E2 might be a path toward that goal, but after exploring it for a while, I can see that it might be difficult because of the level of contrast my deck has between good and happy images and dark and scary images. The censuring restrictions against things not G-rated might make it not possible. I might be able to tone things down enough to not get kicked out, but maybe not. Children’s books have dark and scary or sad images in them. Maybe if I keep it to that level I might squeak by and get images close enough to what I want my cards to say.

Hello! Saw a DallE2 showcase on TikTok months ago, got on the waitlist in late June. I have always thought it would be cool to be able to make art but never got around to it. So cool that ai is here to help bring our imaginations to life. While waiting for Dalle acceptance I got into Midjourney and have had a lot of fun with it! Generated a couple thousand images in the first month. As for Dalle, I've already gone through all 50 of the initial prompts and will have to wait for next paycheck before I can buy any more. I don't have any irl friends, live a pretty boring life tbh. So using these ai programs to generate fantastical and photoreal art is pretty much the highlight of my day

About 28 years ago i worked as an painter and Illustrator. One day in 1994 i saw the first webbrowser mosaic and the first websites ever created. It was a website with paintings in the louvre in France. After that i never touched a pencil or painted again and my live changed in creating websites and made good money. Now 28 years later i have this same feeling again. I am on dall-e now for about two weeks and already created hundreds of images from which i will throw away most of them. In these last few weeks i learned how to create good prompts but also to leave my initial idea and went on a flow creating many images until i reached a form that i would consider art. Sometimes these final results are totally different than my first idea. I also realize now that in order to be an unique artist i still need to use my own imagination in creating the crazy prompts. The promts i create can not be shared, something like the cook can tell you what is on the menu but will not share the exact recipe. The last week i ordered large prints and i hope in a few months i will have my first exhibition with these works. I am hooked, totally. I am back in the arts! (the name i use here is not my real name, will fix that soon)
