Hi everyone, I really need some help with Sora.

All my video generations render fine, but every time I try to download them I get the same error: “Error preparing download”.

I’ve already tried:

Different browsers (Chrome, Opera, etc.)

Different devices (Android mobile – Samsung S25 Ultra)

Clearing cache/cookies

Lowering video quality (480p, 720p)

Shorter durations (5–10 seconds)

Nothing works – the error appears for every single video, no matter what settings I use.

Has anyone else had this issue recently, or does anyone know a solution/workaround? I’ve been stuck with this for over a week and can only use screen recording as a temporary fix.

An opinion from you guys: currently my discord bot (that is mainly a chatbot with a couple of commands) uses gpt-4o as its main model (alongside text-embedding-3-small to generate embeddings for long-term memories), and uses Chat Completions behind the scenes.
Should i switch to Responses API and gpt-5? Or there is another model that would better fit the goal of the bot?
currently it parses both text messages and messages with images (using vision)
also looking for a way to make the model "parse" the contents of a web page which url is on the text input. Is it even possible?

Hey out there! I upgraded from Plus to Business and then (big mistake I now realize) merged my personal GPT history with my new Business workspace.
Issues (💯 FALSE ALARM):

• none all of my GPTs carried over
• none all of my project folders carried over
• all of the conversations in the project folders are gone there!
  -> Can I do anything about this?
  -> My learnings on the other side:

1. the merge takes about 2 hours.
2. Don't expect things to show up in the merged workspace in the same sort order.
3. 'Feature not a bug' mentioned in documentation: All account settings default to factory settings, therefore
   3a. Account: links cleared out
   3b. Personalization: custom instructions cleared out, 'About you' cleared out

Thanks for asking! Check the edited/updated post -- my 5-alarm fire was kind of a false alarm.
Reasons I went from Plus to Business:

1. I've been experiencing enormous lag recently. After thinking, the browser (Edge but I've seen the same in Chrome) freezes. If I open a new window and navigate to the same conversation, the after thinking response appears.
2. I'm planning to use Codex more and the Plus level of usage seemed to be limiting for my use case
3. There are some use cases that apply to my consulting business so the privacy/security features of Business fit a need
4. The price point jump from Plus to Pro is enormous. Minimum 2 Business Seats per month cost worked for me without selling the farm.

og sora you can use individual pictures to keep it consistent but its way more work and theres no voices or any of the new features

Sora 2 is still extremely new, probably too new to say for sure how OpenAI may handle or need to handle (required by law) things in the future.

But when we use OpenAI services or products, we are bound by the ToS and the allowed usage policies. You can find a link to them in #server-rules , but there's a key part of ToS:

Use our Services in a way that infringes, misappropriates or violates anyone’s rights.```

So, intellectual property is a type of right.  We risk penalties, typically seems to mean loss of account access, if we choose to break ToS, break usage policies, or otherwise break terms.

Thing is, we're responsible for what we ask for - the trouble doesn't come 'if OpenAI moderates it' - but if we choose to do something that breaks ToS or usage policies or other terms.

If you want to try and join the rather huge crowd who are involved in early access - you need someone who is already in Sora2, to chose to share a code that still has usable invites left with you.

This can be challenging, because most people who got access only got 4 invites, and many have already invited who they could - those folks can invite others unless they're brand-new sora accounts - but there's still a rather intense scramble for codes that have current invites available.

Watch out for scams, anyone charging is surely not real, this comes and goes for free, people helping people - or wait for the rollout.

It would be against the rules, at least on this Discord, cause #server-rules #7, we can't solicit, and offering trades is a type of that. We can just give freely if someone chooses to, that is allowed (and is how I got my code, and what was done with the codes I passed on).

Yes, and it'll take patience, cause this Discord's had hundreds of thousands of new members in a few days, and systems are pretty busy!

But there is an appeal process; the buddy would have gotten a notification how to appeal. If that's failing to start, it may be because the system's so full (that would be a Discord-limits related thing) that the person needs to try again later.

You can reach out to modmail, instructions in #safety-n-help , but the likely answer may be accepting it takes time when the system is so incredibly busy, and try again later when the system starts to have more availability.
