What browser(s) have you tried in so far? Do you have any browser extensions enabled?
I've tried Firefox, Edge, Chrome. Extensions are just the usual. Adblocker, Lastpass, IronVest. Nothing too restrictive.
tried on Linux and WIndows
also. My employee, who has the search bar logged out and logged me in. same deal. very odd

- Private window of browser with all extensions disabled
- Different device, perhaps a browser or the official app on a smartphone

I don't have much experience with Microsoft's implementations of DALL·E myself -- for comparisons between Copilot's DALL·E and ChatGPT's, you might try asking in #images-discussions or #ai-discussions -- keep in mind the Copilot subscription is very new so there might not be a lot of experience out there for it in general yet!

What I want to do is be able to compare my company's prices with my competitors.
It is possible with paypal if you use android app, just add to google play billing paypal and pay with it on mobile, and yes if you log in with the same account on the web you have plus sub.

Gotcha. The free plan of ChatGPT doesn't have internet access abilities or file upload support, one or both of which I think you'd need at a minimum to build something like this, so I'm not sure if you'll be able to do something like this without a subscription.

I think you could build a custom GPT and upload a database file of your company's inventory + pricing as a knowledge file. Then you could try asking it to search the internet for pricing comparisons for certain models in your inventory. Maybe implement some API hooks if you know how!

Hey. Yeah that’s a 3rd party software. It’s used to run open source LLMs locally or you can add the GPT3/4 api and chat through the friendly interface.

Hello everyone. Um, im getting consistent oops error on login. Ive tried loging in through a guest browser and everything. I have a teams account. Weird thing is the android app does work, but not through the web browser. Ive read the help page on this and i did try everything. Can anyone point me to something that can help me further?
The only thing that I can say is it looks a little different from the checkout page for an annual Team subscription. I can only check on my phone right now so maybe that's part of it. But yours says "Pay and subscribe" and mine only "Subscribe", plus some other formatting things (again, could be mobile, but I do have desktop mode enabled fwiw)

Now trying it again by deleting and re adding l, however I get a message “not authorized for account” when I try to add the domain. Anyone know what might be happening?

Basically: you own the output, but you can't represent the output as having been made entirely by a human. Also, if someone outputs similar content, they would have equal claim, so it's less "protectable" in that regard.

It looks like Surfshark has a feature called "CleanWeb" -- can you check to see if this feature is enabled? Sometimes things like that need to be disabled separately, even if the VPN itself is already disabled.

Hello, you're not the only one reporting no access to the GPT Store yet. You can go to #1070006915414900886 and search "store" to see a couple recent posts. I'm not sure if it's a bug or if if the Store rollout is just not yet complete.
So do I... I have GPT plus but since about three weeks ago everything has been increasingly crashing , mostly with MyGPTs , it forgets pdfs and context, or in normal chats keeps crashing and even more is plugins are used. I tested with and without VPN in different chrome profiles, plenty of errors,.. Regenerate responses that crash, network errors
You can try reaching out to OpenAI support at help.openai.com. Open the chat widget in the bottom-right, click throught he relevant options, and eventually you'll get the option to type your question. This will submit a ticket that OpenAI support can review and get back to you on. Please let me know if you find anything out about this!

If you can type in your own message, that's submitting a ticket. It won't connect you with a human immediately and it may take some time to get a reply. You should get a notification via email when they reply.

Your best bet will be to reach out to support at help.openai.com, use the chat widget in the bottom-right, click through the most relevant options, and you'll eventually be able to type in your question which will submit a ticket that OpenAI support can review and get back to you on.

It won't connect you to a person immediately. If you have typed in and sent a message, you've submitted a ticket that someone can review and get back to you on. It may take multiple days or more to get a response.

GPTs are capped separately at 25/3hrs, if you were using something other than GPT-4. Also, regenerations, continuations, editing & resubmitting a message, and Create/Preview chats in GPT builder also count as GPT-4 uses, in case relevant to you! Also in general, you might already know, but the usage cap is rolling, so the time it gives you is when you have one use back, not a time of full reset.

Wanted to upgrade Plus > Teams, but noticed on a Youtube video that only the shared Workspace have all the Teams features.
If you switch to your personal workspace (to avoid sharing your historic for example from your team) then, you won't have the same benefits.
In this case I have to buy another Plus subscription just to get GPT4 on my personnal workspace to keep my historic private.

The shared workspace refers to the GPTs you can create. You can share GPTs within your team.

Hello, what are you wondering about? This just means that when you type in custom instructions and enable them, they'll only take effect in new chats you start after that, until you change/disable them.

I've tried all options to connect on ChatGPT Plus. But when I connect on ChatGPT plus, the UI does not load correctly and show the following error:

I've been using ChatGPT Plus since it launched. I haven't changed my usage and never had this issue until a month ago. I've contacted support multiple times in the last month, but they always say the same thing, "turn off VPN, Ad blockers, extensions, automation, etc." I do not and have not used any of these.
This issue happens on any device/browser where I'm signed into Chrome with my personal email. This email is not the same email I use for my ChatGPT Plus account (so somehow, my Chrome profile metadata is being flagged, though that's outside of anything related to ChatGPT). If I use my work email Chrome profile, I have no issue (same computer or different, it doesn't matter).
I'm not looking for a workaround (e.g., just use your work Chrome profile). I'm looking for a solution to whatever they changed 1-2 months ago. I don't want to use a separate browser/profile just so I can use ChatGPT. Does anyone have any ideas? My setup and daily use have been very consistent. My main desktop is Linux, and I'm a software engineer, so I'm open to technical solutions, but the solution I'm looking for is to get back to being able to use ChatGPT while using my main personal Chrome profile, nothing else.
Hello, I've read multiple Linux users report being stuck in a similar verification loop. What some have said helped them was installing a simple user agent switcher extension to their browser, and switching user agent when using ChatGPT. I know you said you're not looking for much of a workaround, but would you be willing to try this?

Ah, maybe I wasn't clear enough. Something like this would be fine. I'm more hesitant about other workarounds like "just use another browser/profile." I can test this, but the weird thing is that the issue doesn't happen in the same browser on the same computer when I'm using my other Chrome profile.

I'll search through here for user agent extensions and similar issues. I just tried one, and every agent either resulted in a Cloudflare verification loop or "This browser is out of date". Yeah, the profile thing is so weird to me, but it also worries me a bit that they're tracking additional data. For example, my personal profile email is not in my account info. I've never typed it in ChatGPT, and it's nowhere in my exported personal data, but it's the only thing that connects this issue between devices. I would think that this email address and profile wouldn't exist from the perspective of ChatGPT. However, someone in the community forums mentioned that Open AI is outsourcing some of their captcha stuff, and this third-party company could be the one tracking this additional data. In any case, I don't know why it would be flagged in the first place.

Sure thing, good luck. You may know more than me, but perhaps it's not a data thing and it's more of a telemetry thing? As in, maybe a work profile in Chrome communicates differently than a personal profile? So it's possible it's not the contents so much as the type.

This is a possibility. There's not much of a difference between the profiles (for example, I use many of the same browser settings for both, same extensions—though disabled on ChatGPT, etc.), but maybe something subtle I haven't noticed yet.

that was actually to generate a script that executes those batch processes, was a single phase .. but the response crashes.. that cant be so long message i have pasted long texts. Then another in any MyGPTs I ask something and it starts replying not bad and then crashes with all text in red with a regenerate button that continously does the same.. is there any tool for troubleshooting ? VPN/NOVPN is the same

Any tips how to get longer and deeper responses? When I write “write a 500 word email” it normally gives better and longer outputs than just “write 500 words”, but the email version is always written in a different format than I want it to be
One thing to keep in mind is that the model can't count its own output on-the-fly, so it can't do things like hit a requested word count. You might try experimenting with more qualitative language requests like "long," "very long," "extremely long," etc.
Yes I know but I find that it’s generating longer responses than with words like long, detailed or thorough. I just can’t quite get the sweet spot with my prompts

Do you have any custom DNS settings on your devices or internet network?
I haven't heard from many people that custom DNS solves issues, it usually causes them if anything, but you're of course free to experiment! Does this mean you have default DNS at the internet network level too? If so, can you try connecting to your cellular network on your mobile device and trying again? If trying web, do a private tab. If trying app, force close & clear cache after disabling WiFi

Trying on the cellular network will help test whether it's not liking your particular network. And if you try it, private window/clear cache will help make sure no cache/cookies could interfere.
Beside changing the network and refreshing the browser theres not much things you can do, just wait till the problem solves itself, try restarting your wifi too

Anybody else getting issues where the GPT can't finish the response even though it is at the end? I have to hit stop then it will end the response. If I don't push stop the text will turn red and it will said failed to load and I have to regenerate an entirely new response.

Yes, there's been a usage cap since the launch of GPT-4 on Plus. It's been as low as 25/3hrs and as high as 50/3hrs, and it's been at 40/3hrs for awhile now.
I get 30/3hrs if I'm strictly building a customGPT not including the playground.
Yes, custom GPTs are separately capped lower--last I read it was 25/3hrs but maybe it's changed. However, this is just part of the larger 40/3hrs cap, so if you've only used a custom GPT and hit the cap, you should still be able to go to regular GPT-4 and use it till you get to the full 40.

Honestly, I'm getting pretty tired of the cap. I shouldn't be penalized for really bad responses and I shouldn't be penalized when the negative feedback generates an alternative response that is the same or worse than the first response.
You could upgrade to the team plan for a way higher cap or use alternatives like Microsoft Copilot Pro which is also using GPT4 for unlimited messages.
Since I'm working on the customGPT I don't think Copilot Pro would solve my problems. I've thought about the team plan, but paying $50/month for an unspecified cap and the added inconvenience of adding a "separate person" is a bit much.
But, I appreciate the suggestions!
The cap is 100 messages, it's not unspecified. Also if you are using both slots you actually have 200 messages/3 hours. Else it would not be $50 but $25 when you share it with a friend
Not that I don't believe you, but none of that was specified when I tried to signup. Even then, it would be worth it if I wasn't spending 30 prompts trying to get the model to do something that it literally did a week prior no problem. Spending $50 just to increase my frustration isn't worth it.
Point being that it's the inconsistency and decreasing of performance that is starting to bug me. The only thing that I can possibly think of to resolve this is to do 100% GPT voice conversations, but I can't talk in all settings like that. Plus, GPT voice conversation if I take a few seconds in between words, it assumes that I am done speaking and generates a response.
The responses are much better with voice conversation though. For whatever reason, pure text interprets "why" as negative and immediately generates a correction even if I don't ask for it. I have to constantly tell it to only answer the question. It's really annoying.
Yea it's not specified since it can change and they would need to change that on multiple places which is not very efficient. I can guarantee you though, that the cap is 100 messages/3 hours currently. Also you would just need to get you a friend or someone on this discord who wants to share the plan with you and you only need to pay $25.
Also regarding the CustomGPTs, those will launch on Microsoft Copilot soon. And there you can decide wheter you want to use GPT4 or GPT4 turbo, which might fix the fact that your responses are getting worse. Alternatively you could just use the playground for an unlimited amount of responses with your favorite model (for which you might pay more of course).
It's not that I wouldn't pay for the plan. It's that I don't see it being worth it given my frustrations. I absolutely believe you in terms of the limit. I'm just saying that OpenAI (like a lot of tech companies as I'm finding out in my search for a tech sales job) are really bad at marketing.
I've just learned about the playground as I assumed that this was only on the web UI. There seems to be two different worlds here which ties into my point above. They need to be better at explaining their product and what options are available. I had no clue about platform vs the web UI. I suppose this is where someone that actually knows tech would clearly understand, but I'm not that perrson. Perhaps, I'm just not their target audience, lol
Then this keeps occuring. Anytime the AI summarizes a file for me it will generate a response, but not be able to end the last period of the response. If I don't click the stop button, it will eventually fail and I have to regenerate costing me an extra message. This is the kind of nonsense that makes me consider moving over to Bard or Claude.
Btw, this doesn't happen on the phone app. Just on my browser on my desktop.
Yea I feel you, high server loads can be annoying. Errors like that don't count towards your message cap though.
They sure do. Why? Because I have to regenerate every time that happens. One time I regenerated 3 times and then it told me I was at a cap at the 3rd try.
Sometimes you get an error like this because you already reached your cap but it could not verify it properly. You only get the cap message at the third try then, but you were at cap for all 3 messages

That's my point. Regeneration is a new message. You're saying I was capped on all 3. I'm saying those regenerations all count toward the cap because I have to do that every time.
And it's only happening when I'm asking the GPT to review files. Otherwise, it's fine. Maybe that's still a server load issue, but if that were true why is the phone app not having the same issue?
When the regeneration results in an error, it isn't counted, thats what I was saying. I don't know why you are only facing these problem on desktop and not on mobile but you can reach out to the support for this to be reviewed.

did you have access yet recently to the new page? if not, try clearing the cache by pressing CTRL SHIFT R or going to the browser settings to clear it, and then see if it'll load.
no i havent seen the new one yet and i cleared the cache already
it depens on the serverload iirc.. i remember testing a few months ago and getting consistently between 24 and 32 messages.
atm it looks more like its counting MY prompts **plus **the AI's responses. which collectively gets to 40. 
have you tried a different browser e.g. firefox if you're using chrome and vice versa? visit the page on your phone / a diff device?
that way you can diagnose a bit where the issue lies.
I don't know it that is related, but I've reset my modem and now I'm using chatgpt on a incognito window.

also, maybe noteworthy, OAI used to do near-weekly patches a while ago, not sure if they still do, but that'd also explain why one week you might have issues with the service, and the next week not.

yeah see that may be patch related 🤔 😄 it might also be that you were simply quicker in prompting it today, or that you used "regenerate" a few times because the AI responded with "something went wrong".

Ahh I see. The usage cap is just one big limit for everything that uses GPT-4 -- you don't get separate limits for using different GPTs.
When I use GPTs, the limit is lower then when using ChatGPT-4.

But they don't say it as clear to GPTs as they say it to ChatGPT-4.

It's working now. I reset my modem and switched to an incognito window. But can't say for sure if this is the reason it is working now.
To be honest, ChatGPT, even when is working, it's not performing well for me. Sometimes it freezes before completing what it is saying. I'm not sure if this is because I'm in Brazil or if this is a global thing.

Here's a list of things that all count as one GPT-4 use:
- Sending a message
- Regenerating a response
- Editing & resubmitting one of your messages
- Clicking the "continue" button on a response
- "Create" chat in GPT builder
- "Preview" chat in GPT builder
All of these things count against your usage cap. And GPTs are "sub-capped" lower, still as part of the default GPT-4 cap.

This isn't currently built into the UI, so you just have to count. There have been some posts in #1070006151938314300 about adding a feature like this -- you might find one of those and add your voice in support if you'd want a feature like that!

Interesting issue we are having and I am not sure anyone else has experienced this. We are no longer able to access chat.openai.com from our office. We get the error code in the screenshot. Ran a tracert and we get outside of our network. I can connect fine via VPN into another office, or I can connect via my hotspot. This issue started happening earlier today.
Note: this is happening for all devices on our network. Curious if ChatGPT would block access from an ip range?

If you're comfortable trying it, you might try disabling it completely, then signing in fresh in a private browser window. Sometimes software like that can interfere.

This is common for people with similar issues -- 3.5 and 4 connect to OpenAI differently, so sometimes an issue like this will affect only 4.
Hello, sometimes institutional traffic gets flagged like this -- schools, businesses, etc. It's usually because VPN/proxy traffic can be difficult to distinguish from bad actor traffic, and it can resolve itself sometimes with time. You might check with your network admins if you haven't already (sounds like you've done some testing), but otherwise you might want to submit a support ticket at help.openai.com -- open the chat widget in the bottom-right, select the most relevant options, then eventually you'll find an option to type in your own ticket that OpenAI support can review and get back to you on.

Can you try connecting the computer to a hotspot from your phone, then logging in in a private window again? I keep suggesting the private window thing because sometimes cookies/cache can interfere, so it's best to start with a fresh instance each time. Keep McAfee totally disabled for now

Dang! Thanks for trying. The fact that it works fine on your phone makes me think it's got to be something on the computer. You might try checking Task Manager to look at the processes/programs running. New Windows computers often come with default software that you might not need, and in this case, it might be a program that's filtering or otherwise affecting your network traffic. Disabling all of them, making sure they don't automatically start when you restart your computer, and then maybe rebooting your computer after all that could help. It's hard to say what to look for exactly since it can be such a wide variety of software, but network management/firewall/etc. software is commonly included, and could be interfering, even though you already tried McAfee specifically.

Right, brand new Windows computers commonly come with pre-installed software from the manufacturer, like the McAfee you mentioned earlier. I was just wondering if there were other things that could be filtering your traffic.

no its a bit of an odd question, obviously you get 40 prompts every 3 hours as stated on gpt4, i asked it to create some images, then afterwards i asked it to change the aspect ration of all of these images, it sent through all of the images in the different aspect ratio as requested, would me asking it to do that count as 1 prompt or would each image generated count as a prompt each?
Good question! So to start: the GPT-4 usage cap and the DALL·E usage cap are separate, but related. No matter what, every time you send a message, regenerate a response, edit & resubmit a message, etc. -- that all counts as one GPT-4 use.
Separately, DALL·E on Plus is capped at 200 images per 24hrs. There are also 15 and 60 minute throttles that vary based on server load that you might run into if you generate a lot of pictures in a short time.
So in your case: every followup request you made all counted separately toward your GPT-4 usage cap, and every image it made counted as one DALL·E image as well.

Okay! A couple things:
- ProtonVPN has a feature called "NetShield" -- you might want to try disabling that separately, even though the VPN itself is already disabled. Then try again, maybe in a private window to start.
- Chrome, Brave, and Edge are all Chromium browsers, so it might be worth trying (after the above) in a non-Chromium browser like Firefox or Safari -- preferably with no extensions enabled.

There is a GPT-4 usage cap on Plus that's based on 3hrs -- basically, you use it once, you get the "use" back 3hrs later. It's 40/3hrs in normal GPT-4, and last I read 25/3hrs in custom GPTs. Sending a message isn't the only thing that counts -- regenerating answers, asking for a continuation, etc. also count as "uses".

Hello, there is a usage cap on ChatGPT Plus of 40/3hrs. Custom GPTs have a "sub-cap" as part of that, last I read was 25/3hrs. Regenerating, editing & resubmitting, etc. also count as one -- not just sending a message.
Think of each use as having its own 3hr timer -- you get it "back" after 3hrs. It's a rolling cap.

Text is in Spanish, but you can see one with the option for annual for 40 USD off the price. My guess is it's a limited availability feature that they might be testing for demand right now, who knows if it'll get a wider release!
If you have the option, you should see if after selecting Plus is pricing on ChatGPT. After you're redirected to pay.openai.com, if you have the option, you'll see the toggle to switch to annual pricing.

Hey there, I've been working on a custom GPT over the past few days. It has actions that are connected to an API I made but all of a sudden it stopped working. When I ask it a question that usually prompts it to use one of the actions, it just doesn't respond with anything. There's no error. It just shows the little loading/thinking dot for a second like it's about to respond but then the dot disappears and there's 0 response.

I have problems recently... about the payment... in two separate times my card was considered "not accepted". At beginning for months all work well, then i find if i click to subscribe to PLUS, nothing happens. I try to API section, the same. Hello, I'm testing out something with the OpenAI's Assistants feature. For example, let's say that I'm trying to make the AI generate a plan for a trip, the answer coming from the AI should only include the trip plan and shouldn't include something like "Here is your trip plan:" or "Please note that this plan designed for your preferences and may not meet everyone's needs.". I edited my instructions accordingly but it still sometimes types that type of things in the message, before or after the plan. Does anyone know how I can make it not type or add that type of texts in the answer? Or is there a good prompt engineer that can give an example instructions that I can add?
I am getting a message cap on normal text messages on GPT Plus, This will be my 4th month with GPT+, and I have never encountered this issue. If I am correct, message cap was on DALL-E, Browsing and Analysis, but not on regular text messages and image inputs. Message cap was imposed just after 30-40 text messages. Yes, it's a rolling cap. When it tells you you can't use it till x time, that time isn't when all 40 come back, it's just when 1 of the 40 comes back. They come back individually, 3hrs after they're used.

I was hoping we could utilize it via API, but even this cloning option seems a dead end as the Consensus GPT (by definition) must be accessing an external API.

So ive bought pro and everytime i try to use the bot it just sits there thinking it will get half way through the response and just quit. I have 1,000 mb/s download speed & 100 mb/s upload speed. Vpn are known to be the first issue for openai product
What VPN do you have? There may be a secondary feature called "Web Protection", "NetShield", or something similar that sometimes causes issues, if you're still having the issue. You might not have changed anything on your end, network things like VPNs are finicky, like Waifu mentioned.

It's still rolling out. You might just need to wait a bit longer. In my opinion the store isn't even worth having access to currently. Very limited selection of GPTs that are not even good for the most part. You are not missing out on much.

Hello, I don't think there's currently a way to connect to a live support agent. Your best bet is submitting tickets as you have, and awaiting a response. You'll get notified via email when you get a reply, and I think you can reply via that same email thread, perhaps even if the chat thread itself is closed.

chatgpt 4 is slow , very slow. when i ask it something (i use it for writing blogs) it is runs fast in first 10-25 seconds then it just stucks or takes 10 seconds to complete one sentence or longer. after a minute or two it says "network error". i always have to regenerate 5-6 times until i get a complete once. and there's no issues with my internet it runs fine with ChatGpt3.

Plugins and custom GPTs are totally separate -- think "prequel" and "sequel". You might check to see if there's a VoxScript GPT in the Store. Or, you can check with VoxScript directly to see if they have an API you can use -- if so, you might be able to integrate it with your own GPT via Actions.

I haven't done this myself so I'm not sure. Does the page mention Plus specifically? You might compare what this page looks like following the steps from your Team profile too -- if the pages look different I'd guess you're safe. But I have definitely read other people talk about cancelling just Plus after getting Team so I think you're safe.

I'm on LAN. No other computer is using it.

Hmm well a change in error might be a good sign. Unfortunately maybe that means all this testing has been counting toward your usage cap, which would be frustrating. Maybe don't change anything for now, wait for the usage cap to give you back a use, and try again in a new private tab?

Unfortunately lots of times issues like this are isolated to 4, and 3.5 works just fine. The two models make different connections, so often when 4 won't work, 3.5 is fine, like you've said.

You can submit an OpenAI support ticket at help.openai.com too -- open the chat widget in the bottom-right, click through the most relevant options, and you'll get to a point where you can type in your ticket that OpenAI support can review and get back to you on. It won't be immediate, but you'll get an email when they reply.

That one is normal -- on Plus there's a rolling usage cap of 40/3hrs, so you get each use "back" 3hrs after using it.
but I just wrote about 10 prompts
That could be because the cap is rolling -- when it gives you a time to try after, that doesn't mean you have all 40 back at that time, it means you have one back at that time.
The only time it fully resets is after 3 full hours of no GPT-4 usage.

Did you only send 10 messages, or did you also regenerate replies, edit and resubmit any of those 10 messages, ask for any replies to continue, or use the "Create" or "Preview" chat in the GPT builder? All those actions also count as one GPT-4 use. Also, were you getting any errors where you had to try multiple times?

that sometimes the usage cap is lowered in peak times. 10 is quite a bit lower than I've read, but perhaps that's related? You might chime in that thread.
ChatGPT Team has a usage cap of 100/3hrs -- is that what you mean by personal and enterprise?

Not other than buying more seats for the team -- each seat has its own 100/3hrs cap. The options are basically:
- Plus, 40/3hrs per account
- Team, 100/3hrs per seat
- Enterprise, unlimited, only for large business accounts currently (can contact OpenAI sales)
- API, pay-as-you-go unlimited, different from ChatGPT

You won't get connected to a live person, and it'll take some time for them to get back to you, maybe days. You'll get an email response when they reply.

I was trying to start a new conversation and there was some kind of communication errors sayin "something went wrong" so i tried reloading it and then suddenly I got a message saying I reached a conversation cap? I haven't even talked to it yet and I get a cap?

I'm not sure where to go for help with this. I had a personal account that I just migrated to a teams account. On the personal account, I verified a domain. I assumed that it would be ported over, but it did not. Now when I try to verify the domain in the teams, it says that it is already associated with another account. However, the personal account is gone, so it's not like I can go in and undo the association. HELP!!!

According to the last word we got from OpenAI here, there's not currently a monitored support email. If you get to a place in the bot where you're typing your own message (I know ChatGPT, Other, Provide feedback is one path), that's submitting a ticket, and they'll be able to review from there.
