Hey peeps, last resort turning to Discord community for help since I haven't been able to get any solution to my problem. I'm on the Pro plan, and for more than a month I get the "Something went wrong" error on one desktop device, now I get it on my current desktop device. So now I have zero access.

This is what I've tried:

• Clearing cache and coockies
• Disabling VPN
• Trying in incognito
• Logging out then in again
• Disabling cookie blockers
  This issue happen on every model, GPT-4 & GPT-3.5.

Any solutions out there? This is not something new for me, like I see is being reported.

Hey guys yesterday I have the newer version pushed to me where I can create gpt's and all the other good stuff. I also have the unified solution where I don't have to select anymore between the different types of chats. And now I'm logging in today and I'm back to the old system. Sadly each new upgrade is a downgrade since Sam Altman decided to meet with the WEF in Spain some months back ever since then the quality has gone down hill with the new censorship routines that make the AI less effective and has degraded its intelligence since it was lobotomized due to WEF censorship

Hey all, wondering if there's a better method to what I'm trying to do.

My grandad wrote a book, it was never published and all we have is a hard copy in a binder. I've scanned the book and have it as a PDF. I was then able to use some OCR software to extract the text, but it's not perfect and there are artifacts from the OCR software such as multiple commas or periods and random breaks and the page numbers.

What I've been doing is copying about 10 paragraphs at a time with the prompt into ChatGPT

I am going to provide you with a story written by my grandfather. It was scanned then used OCR to convert it to text. I don't want you to edit the content. I simply want you to remove weird characters, excess commas or periods and unnecessary breaks or random numbers from the page numbers being scanned in.

This works but is tedious as it is a 365pg book. Is there a way to upload a file containing all of the text and have it output the corrected version?

Based on your description, if you're asking it to create abstract representations of projects and you're pasting a large amount of text for it to process and then "abstract-ify," I could see that also confusing it. So, you might try to boil down your project ideas into a few shorter ideas, or better yet, manually give it an actual set of visual cues to shoot for. This might decrease the likelihood of undesirable text appearing.

I have done something similar and the first point is be very careful as you scan . That is setting up the issue of strange characters and spurious page numbers as any slant to the text will lead to possible misreading by the OCR. If you mask off the page numbers as you scan, you have removed that problem from the start and it removes any conflict with embedded numbers within the text. My text was wrapped around images, in 2 columns on a page, with capital section numbers and I had to go through the scans piece by piece. This was before ChatGPT which if I had used that would at least have given me something else to swear at. At the end you will have to proof read the output anyway. Good luck and be patient.

I use a PHP program to connect to ChatGPT API and get it to work on loads of different promptsets. What you want is to be able to feed your book text into a process that just automates the prompt and response and appends it out to file. you should be able to knock up something similar in javascript or python. That way you feed the entire book in one end, it slices into paragraphs that it prompts and responds to, saves the output to the file and then you can get down to the serious business of proof reading it.

I don't think it's available through the API, only Code Interpreter is, you'd probably want to make your own implementation to allow for your model to access the internet (you could use the Bing Web Search API for example)

So for those with the older chat glitch, I actually found a solution. Copy and paste the entire chat. I know this could be kind of tedious, especially if it was a longer chat. Put it in Word, and then from there, open up a new chat within it, and upload the document. It might take some time for it to remember everything. You could ask, it's going to review the document a couple times, but it'll eventually remember everything, and I've been able to re-enable old scenarios.

I absolutely cannot get GPT to generate code snippets using tabs instead of spaces. Pre-paid is probably the worst possible action you could take.

Pre-paid cards come with an additional fee, Credit Cards are free in Germany.

Generally use your bank as is. and call them and go into an agreement with them on what u want to happen.

So. Order a credit card through a call, and tell them to make a seperate Account, "Sub Account" that charges other account the exact OpenAI Plus Fee, Each month, and have them disable and outside use and withdrawals, except for payments. depending on your bank you can whitelist singular companies. while excluding everything else.

Remember to have that credit card on your sub account ONLY and not connected to your Main Account. so basically each month your Main account Pays your Subaccount x amount of dollars equal to the subscription fee for OpenAI.

Ensure to tell them that you are not allowed to move money out from it, or use the card outside this singular payment method reasoning "Spending Issues" would get them to understand.

So Ordinarily i'd use that method although i have no spending issues, i still use that arguement.

you can always threaten them to move banks, that usually works, Although thats your last resort. but i'd advice looking into it a bit, before taking any actions.

...remember to be polite about it, it goes a long way especially for your bank, if they say "They cant" then they're lying. 100%, it might be a hassle for them to set it up but its doable, i've worked in a bank, and this is very basic, its clicking a few boxes. and whitelisting the one issuing the 1st payment from openai's side, easily done in less than 5 minutes from their side.(Your bank that is)

• And since the withdrawal is instantaneous if u have it ready to click "Subscribe" while ur on call so they can check and whitelist that only.
