My experience has been that it is best to only deviate from English when it is a topic that is specific to a particular nation.

I'm having some challenges getting my fine-tune model to behave like my prompts did in regular GPT-3 (not ChatGPT).
I was writing prompts and chaining examples one-after-another until I reached the token limit. I split each pair of prompt/completion into rows of a CSV file. I used the Openai CLI tool to convert it to jsonl. I trained a new model and integrated that model version into my app. I only have about 10 records in there mind you.

Unfortunately I get really bad responses, it focuses in on the completion suffixes (for example, it started spamming "END END END END"x100 at me). I can't get it to use results anywhere close to the normal text-davinci-003 model now.

I'm not sure what's wrong. The jsonl appears to have all the text from my prompts and completions. Where can I start debugging this issue? I've tried to tweak and adjust delimiters and prompts around for the last few hours but I always get this spammy repetitive result.

Even when I use a prompt that is already in the training data, I get nonsesnse back.

I figured it out. I have a VPN service with a threat protrection module. I was not using the VPN but the software was open, and so it scans for threats online regardless - after closed the app entirely i am able to use the chat service again without error.
