Programming: As a quick benchmark, I tried creating a POC for a Genetic Algorithm to make a Snake game play itself and learn with each generation. It worked, and I only had to address the IDE errors that I usually encounter. (I'm not a dev, but I have some understanding of programming, so being able to accomplish this is truly amazing.)

Storytelling: It feels quite similar to o1 (or o1-preview, the one I'm 'used to'), but it offers more 'creative insights' after a few iterations.

Business model: It provided a business model that exceeded what I achieved with o1 or 4o. While the improvement was 'marginally better,' that margin made a significant difference.

An amazing product—truly expensive, but I understand the hype.

I knew it was amazing on programming, math and science overall, but it has more business acumen than any other model by far

The answers feel 'smarter' in some way, more robust overall. I also went back to my roots (like when we only had GPT-3 and 3.5) and set up different instances to 'roleplay' as advanced assistants.

It's like a 'knowledge base', you can ask for specifics and the custom GPT will review the PDF you've shared and tell you the details you are asking for. I've used a lot of custom GPTs for work and for hobbies, both ways are amazing, but IMO unless you're developing something with tons of context (such as a fanfic as you said), the ones that have the context on the details/instructions works a little bit better for me as they're a tiny bit more flexible.
