Indeed. I've given it a few tries. When I get a "Network Error" the only option is to start a new chat or refresh and do the same. When it stops mid-stanza on the first of 4 or 5 functions and I either tell it to finish what I asked or "regenerate response", it usually gets it worse. I wonder about "regenerate"; is it assuming I want a complete rewrite and reevaluating the query, or is it just looking for another way to achieve the same result?

When you use regenerate, to my understanding it assumes what it was writing before was not correct so it will try to tackle your issue in a different way (when possible). Try using a vpn and see if it performs better, you may be connected to a weird server.

If you open a new chat, that's a new instance and the new information created in this new conversation is the new token resource base of this very instance. But I don't know about 3.5. But it seems like a not so good idea, because if openai would load all conversations inside the token base, than the model might get biased, as most of the people using it right now don't seem to be capable of using it in the way it was created. So, I am a former lawyer who makes software to replace lawyers. Worked for IBM Watson before it was sold for piece parts. Really not sure how large language models or anything based on machine learning is going to overcome deep cultural trust issues in some professions, like law. The ML black box problem needs to be addressed. DARPA wrote a great paper on this a few years back, with a cool proposed approach.

In my humble opinion, this technology has the potential of improving quality of life for most of us, in my opinion. It offers accessibility, it saves time, and it helps us solve issues we may not have been able to solve before. I know it for some people it may sound a bit scary, because it's often overestimated and compared to sci-fi scenarios but it's not like that, at least not right now. Its applications are largely still unknown as we're only starting to learn about it and how to use it but with time I think thing will even out and we'll get better at not only understanding it but improving it. Plus, many of us here only dreamed of having access to such technology, and it now is a reality, thanks to other kids that had the same dream.

The question is now, what are we going to do with it, what's next ? It's exciting. For many of us, it feels like we're kids again, playing with our new little toy to see what we can come up with you know. It's not perfect, is not stable but that makes it even more fun and quirky. It has this childish sort of feel to it, prototyped mystery box.

Oh, yes, I have developed a method of defeating this. Ask a question, then wait 30-45 seconds and forcibly complete the answer, and then (if you are a plus subscriber like me), just say continue and repeat the operation again. gp4 almost always (in 98% of cases) continues the answer from the right place and that's great
