it is mainly used to test out responses before using code to generate them. after messing around with the sliders you can click "view code" and copy it over to keep settings. this is a rlly good tool for devs

I had some success with letting GPT generate scripts for me to extract only the information I wanted/needed from a bigger heap of stuff. But the problem remains that all you want to know must be either part of the training data or fit in the working memory limited to 2k/4k/8k or whatever tokens depending on the model you use.

Ok. Taking all context info from a chat and getting it into another one might be a problem. You could copy chunks tho and ask the model to summarize it. That probably would infer the chat with enough context to continue a converstaion.

It should be similar for non-fiction tho: right now it is all about working around the limits of the models. You always have not enough tokens to fit all relevant stuff in the "working memory" and thus have to break it into chunks. Also work around problems with the model being inconsistent etc.
