It is very frustrating to see the rules when the tournament opens, assemble a good team, and enjoy some competative play only to log back in a few hours later and see that your omega dinos have been nerfed [again].

If they specify that all your current omega creature abilities will be available then it’s not a bug fix.
You’re right in saying it’s incompetence but not the forgetting to set omegas.
The incompetence is the description of the rules which was there for days before the tournament started.
And if players built their omegas up expecting all their moves to be available, and they weren’t after a few hours, then that’s typical Ludia for you.
