It's very annoying to wait a minute for your opponent to ready up. Half the time they never do and you waste a minute of your time. I suggest making it 15-30 seconds because your opponent almost never "ready's up" beyond that point.

There have been a grand total of 4 cases throughout my playthrough when my opponent readied up 20 seconds+ later ( I started in march 2019)

They lowered it already. It used to be two minutes before it would end they made that change a few years ago but yeah it can definitely be a time waster or at least give you the option to fight AI if it runs out
