Better info means better preparation.
We can plan more, level up Dinos more and with confidence.
Have the knowledge what to focus on in darting decisions in the build up.
Having the full format info, as we always have, simply provides a better qol option for the player base, which for some odd reason you are choosing to take away.
#revert to providing full tournament format details at the start of the season

I don't really see a big deal here tbh
For tournament formats you could do this:
- stop putting omega in all of them.
- make omega TRULY skill by making them level 26 and evenly balanced training points that are the same for everyone. Training points and omega levels should only be based on the players progress in ADVANTAGE tournaments.
- stop with Unqiue constantly every month.
- make tournaments where creatures that aren’t commonly used in Arena be able to be used like common, rare, and epic. Like the fun old days.
- use more restrictions that omit flocks.
- restrictions omitting omegas.
- don’s mess players points up and not compensate us.
- go back to where championship rewards were unique hybrids with EXCLUSIVE ingredients and not boring omega rewards or non exclusive hybrids.
@drifting oyster
Do you or your team play competitively?
My alliance has some that gos far through tornys
Ok so no.
Of course but why change what’s not broken? If your alliance doesn’t plan accordingly ahead of time then you wouldn’t understand. There was no need to change the way the tournaments are shared when they have a whole month to plan or longer. They need to change the tournament formats not how the release what’s to come.
Agree with all of this apart from the omitting flocks. There are enough counters for them in the game now to make it competitive without excluding them from the tournaments.
I don't mean its not worse, It definitely is but seriously, why complain about this when the powercreep is heavy? And omegas make other raritys obsolete? I'm just saying in the grand scheme of things this isn't a big deal
Plus you'll get used to it, and eventually itd just be a remember when it was shown monthly?
Flocks definitely aren't bad anymore
This was announced today, if something is made worse then call it out. Don't stand there "uhhh well I guess there's other things to worry about", it's a slippery slope.
And it was called out, (probably won't make a difference but it was)
I did take it a bit more complaint filled than it was, which I apologize for
You aren’t familiar with the power creep after all these years and the constant release of OP creatures? Come on dude. To competitive teams this is a bad move. There’s no denying there are other issues that need to be resolved but creating new ones isn’t fruitful either.
Having an entire month laid out for tournament focused players is essential imho. It allows adequate time to plan, focus builds (FIPs), and even darting/hunting strategies for tournament rosters.
You are familiar with it but it continues to affect you, where this, you'll change your methods and after a while nothing will feel different
Though I do apologize as I mistook the post to be alot more complaint oriented and as mentioned I agree it shouldn't happen, I thought it was took too far (and I apologize for that)
Fairly allocated TP in omegas probably won’t fix the issue that they are insanely lame and busted
There used to be excitement in playing something like Indom2, but now you just play Yuty, Fukui, CG, and such like 😐
If the other epics could stand up to omegas at a preset level though then things are good, if epics could get buffed to gigantspinos level or so and commons to iguanadon, things aren't so omega focused
Or you can tone omegas down a bit for creatures to have a fair fight…
Ya fr, but we all know that won't happen but the buffs might
No Healers Tournament for the win.
Not giving us tournament formats sooner gives us less time to train for skill.
Getting the tourney formats at the beginning of each month has been the single most important piece of information for me for this game. I eagerly await for it to be announced every time as it largely impacts my levelling, fusing, boosting, training decisions for the entire month. Having this split up makes a huge huge difference to me. The most important tourney occurs at the end of the month because of the 2x points. Not having this information from the beginning of the championship is not good! I'm very strongly in support of keeping the this the way it was!
Exactly. I’ve always told my players to focus your resources on the x2 each month and eventually you’ll have a team for them all. That was the case in the past anyway.
Tournament certainty ahead-of-time is why many players (including me) decide what they want to focus on. That focus may involve spending resource (or real money) on leveling. Our Alliance (and I'm sure many more) discusses strategy and tactics in the weeks and days before every Tournament. Unlike datamines, there's a level of control and certainty that motivates players about upcoming Tournaments. I use Toolbox battle simulator to work out my tactics. Players do Friendlies (when they work) to practise and limber-up. I'm not against some randomised events happening, but not Tournaments. Those have always felt the one thing I know is going to happen that I can resource-up for strategically.
A free to play player hasn’t got the options to not prepare and plan for tournaments as well as trying to keep the smallest of footsteps in shores, I get that the store is important to you but you also have to take into consideration your core FTP base, don’t force us out 🤷🏻♂️
Why, just why? It was one of the few good things left about the game. Preparation was part of the fun 🤦♂️
Pretty much this tbh.
Having the team just constantly change things every two weeks based on feedback feels like it’s way more work for them, and frankly a more complicated solution as opposed to an easier one.
Agreed.😅
I feel like many JC employees underestimate what it means to play tournaments at a competitive level.
We play tournaments on the weekends, are collecting resources for our teams and are working on strategies during the week. We need a whole season to be prepared.
It's a nice idea in theory to respond more quickly to feedback from the community. But we need reliability and predictability.
Build a working group with members of tournament-oriented alliances and listen.
You could develop clear rules, for example for the balance team rules of the respective formats.
There have been some promising buffs recently, but we need more of them.
Give Titaboa a shield to counter CG and Fukui, make SinoC's swap in precise to counter CG, things like that.
Balance team have not always been playable, for rares and omegas for example, it's far too matchup dependent, even if you have omegas at level 30...
It's super frustrating if a whole top 10 rare team is getting destroyed by a Fukui L22 while the rare creatures of the opponent are low level and UB.
Top players are quitting because of that.
No restrictions for omegas already leads to boredom because it's always the same meta and there's a big imbalance between non-spenders and spenders.
So use your options when it comes to buffs and finally listen to experienced tournament players.
There are many great ideas in this channel here already.
For some players, tournaments are just 10 takedowns, for others it's the main reason they've been playing this game for years.
So, even if it sounds a bit undemocratic, please listen to this part of the player base in particular and think about new forms of communication.
Remove omegas, it's just getting silly now, had a level 14 fukuiraptor take out my level 25 epics like it was nothing, I can only feel for what players with level 30 epics coming across level 20 fukuiraptors will do.
Week on week you seem to be making the tournaments worse and worse its time to put skill and normality back in to tourneys before everyone starts giving up before they've begun.
Also omegas are getting stale now so remove them from tournament formats altogether, I think everyone will agree with this.
Thanks for all the support, I received a 24 hour ban from this server without reason so couldn't reply earlier. Nice to see the post gaining traction and constructive comments.
a ban with no message, not only is the game unprofessional, so are the mods.
Just because there are bigger things to complain about shouldn’t mean you shouldn’t complain about smaller things
and this doesn’t even really have to do with coding so its easier to fix
Same. Got banned. Community feedback is a gift. They take it personal and that is wrong. I just pointed out facts, it seems like they have problems with that.
24 hours?
Yes. No reason why. They don’t need one apparently.
Meanwhile the next tourney starts in 4 days, nobody knows the format or restrictions so which omegas to dart to level, and it would just be oh so nice to know what advantage to be working on in 11 days. It's a mess.
So I'll stack coins, boosts, not spend in the meantime. Played yourselves!
Reiterating the server rules. Disputing moderation decisions or being rude or aggressive towards staff can result in a ban. Let's stop discussing moderation decisions and stay on the topic of the thread. Thanks!
Seemed like a frank conversation bringing up real community concerns. Not sure where the rudeness or aggressiveness was but yeah sure let’s stick to the topic.
When should we expect tournament formats? Wednesday? Or just the start of the tournament on Friday? I’m sure it takes a long time to crunch the valuable feedback the team has received.
That would be the reason for this ban, not for the previous one. The whole conversation is public and can by anyone be reviewed. There was no aggression or rudeness. Not agreeing with you was reason enough clearly.

So
Uhhhhhhhhhh
Given my
history
With this server
How have I not been banned?
Don't push it
So Wednesday for an announcement? Or Friday at 10am Eastern? Just curious.
