I’m just glad that the company cares enough about us to leave us in the dark and not compensate us for their development issue and leave us in frustration and falling behind in the game. I hope people stop buying and cancel vip during this time and even more a mass walk out of players.

I was speaking with another and from their stupid no gps take me to a dino nest to get dna. It appears they have no idea how to fix it so they will send you to a minefield of Dino’s to dart. I could care less about the dna darting. What about the supply drops with coins, sanc items, and game cash, oh yeah and boost? Isn’t that what we care about? The sancs are where the dna you want is aside from omegas anyway. Hopefully their stupid dino field doesn’t have raid boss locking Everything you care to dart 🙄😑

Hey everyone, thanks for your patience on this. The team is going to push some changes at 10amEST that should address the creature spawn density issues some of you have been having. This won't affect POIs (SD, ESD and strike towers). For those of you who do have creatures spawning around you, but it has been minimal, you should see more creatures with this fix. For those players experiencing an empty map and no POIs, the team is hard at work on improvements that we will share with you soon.

***Update: the fix has been pushed. Changes should roll out gradually throughout the day. Please let us know if the creature density improves for you!

What is happening with short-range spawn? I try to put amphicyon (common creature!) into tracker and I saw ZERO of them during 2 kilometres. I don't know how to find Rexy, Dracovenator or Geosternbergia, if I can't find short-range common)

Also many reports from my alliance that 210, 400,610 and other mistakes appear in last hour, some players can't login into game😔

Map is still the same here with only 2 drops instead of the 15 I had. Also, all of the bosses are all bunched up around the 2 drops so I can't even click on the Incubator or any creature that spawns there.

Despite our 18 months of failure we still will not compensate our valued and loyal players who fight this frustration everyday that is innocent to this geological map update. We know it sets their play styles and progression back further and prevents them from enjoying the game they love. Keep on buying things in the store while we work on this map and add more omegas.

Daily calendar fraction of rewards compensation should continue until the team fixes their issue. Stop punishing the players for your alls mistakes.

Hey Pickles, the fix today was just targeted at creature spawns and did not affect the raid bosses being bunched up or the amount of drops on the map. The team is still working on a fix to those issues.

Am I going to get more drops?? I have missed out on SOOO MUCH (DNA, Incs and Spins) I have been one of the many loyal player for YEARS. And I do second what @hazy lichen said, you've completely stopped reimbursing us affected players who again, are missing out on soo much because of a mistake on YOUR END. Why are we the ones who have to lose out?

In 2021, the revenue of JWA was $102 Million. I don't think it's too much to ask, to get some decent reimbursement.

Overall there is not enough of everything in the out scurts areas. I use to have 3 sangtuaries i could reach from home and 18 supply drops a very fine mix of both normal and event supply drops . Now i have 8 supply drops 😵‍💫 its not easy to keep up with a giga scent with 8 supply drops only ,🤦🏼‍♀️ that is a problem..i NEVER would use coins or hard cash on darts . Thats just redicules . So you could just remove the limit on darts and alot more ppl would be happyer about the game 🤗

There’s been nothing in range from home since map update. The recent updates have removed most of the drops in my surrounding shopping centers which used to be loaded with drops. All my neighbors backyard are parks now. There are long stretches of busy roads near me that have also become completely empty. I understand you are trying to fix but it’s still far from fixed and you need to continue some compensation.

That's the more important issue for me. I've completely stopped playing in the last few days bc I'm tired of not having raid bosses, event spawns or strike towers close enough to me to play from home. Playing in a moving vehicle is nauseating and it's just too hot in Florida to go exploring on foot. If I can't play from home I'm not gonna play. How about expanding everyone's range to 300 meters to give us more stuff to interact with?

As someone who isn't able to be mobile, this mapbox thing is pretty irritating. Especially when my daily missions involve darting a certain type of dino or doing spins. My daily streak is pretty much shot because of this and I'm running out of scents to use. I don't even get the multiple daily calendar things anymore but the map is still messed up. I have two spawn points about a 3x the range of my radar away from me in either direction with so much crap clumped around it that you can't click on the thing you need. I thought this was supposed to be better than PokemonGo but, I'm starting to see the similarities cause I can't do anything on either.

Please Please consider what many of us are asking for from you. Bring back the “Extra Daily Rewards compensations” for those of us that are drowning due to the loss of a decent game to play. I realize that you would have to give them to all as you can’t identify only the players that have been so affected by this issue. I can’t drive around daily to try to find what I need just to get my daily’s done. Please tell us if you find that this can’t be fixed by updates on your end. Then we can make an informed decision about continuing to play JWA. It’s been a month and though you appreciate our patience, our patience is wearing very thin.

I have 25 spins (last I counted) around me when I'm at my home. Today I had ONE event spin in a 266m radius. 1 out of 25 possible spins were event spins... Thankfully it was just common dinos today, but that's beside the point... The distribution is just really off some days for whatever reason. I believe it got better with the latest map tweak last week as i have seen better distribution over this past week, but days like today show it is still not "good".

Interstate highways were the only roads that weren’t populated with Google Maps in my area. Now a few private drives I can’t drive on, a few subdivisions and the closest town are populated on the MapBox version. I have to drive over 2 hours to max out drops, battle towers and dart Dino’s because the map is blank where I live. They are making little to no effort to fix things from what I can tell. The roads I was on today had fewer drops and fewer raid bosses. I guess they are doing something, making it worse. 🤬

Join VIP pops up pretty often. They are pushing hard to get people to spend money on a game that 1/2 works. Fix the game and people will spend money again. I miss having VIP, but refuse to pay for it or anything else game related until they fix the game in my area.

How many months has the TEAM been working on the raid invite issue for iPhone users? They expect us to have faith in their ability to fix problems?

Yea- exactly. It’s impossible to walk to anything now. Before this change I actually had drops on my street and short range spawns and I would get out and walk to them when they popped up on the tracker or even to get closer so I had more time to dart. I would walk for treasure chests. Now it’s impossible to do that in my area without going on an epic drive.

Must not be enough players that play in rural locations. My small town mostly has spawns / boxes / etc. The large city I work in has plenty of spawns but there are a few weird blank spots. In between though? It's 50 miles of nothing with the exception of some small sections of gravel roads that cross my route. The problem with those though is those areas have like 7-10 raid bosses walking around so you can't click on any spawns / boxes / towers that are beneath them.

We have a really large lake in the country, where in the summer we go out and there is house on a mountain (not that high, we just call it mountain, because you need to walk to high for like 10-20 minutes) and there were drops and creatures too before the mapbox. I'm curious if it's still the same or not

The map issues are only getting worse (on top of the blank areas everywhere, we now have no short range spawns and essentially no green supply drops). Think it's time to say goodbye as it's evident y'all just don't care.

Update: after driving the remaining 20 miles of my 50 mile trip, I did see 3 small areas that had a mix of orange and green stops. So, they are out there, but seeing just 3 areas with any green stops over a 50 mile drive (which includes driving through a large city as well as rural areas and on major roads/interstates) is ridiculous. In fact the areas I saw were along the interstate portion of my drive in areas off to the side of the interstate.

I saw nothing on the state route nor on local roads that weren't next to the interstate.

We will have more details on it very soon but this way we can evaluate which locations on the map are empty and work on populating those areas with points of interest.

This is what mine looks like. Before the Mapbox transition there were roads in my neighborhood and I had access to like two sanctuaries and multiple supply drops and incubator battle events, a lot of them even being green supply drops. Now it looks like I’m in the middle of nowhere and I have access to nothing from my home. There isn’t even any roads or anything. My neighborhood is still under construction because it’s selling lots and all but there were still roads here with plenty of supply drops and incubators. Now there’s nothing. It’s extremely annoying because now I can’t complete my missions as efficiently, although fortunately I am like 3 levels away from completing the pass.

Doesn’t help much either that I live like 10 minutes within the country so I’m like 10-15minutes away from like more rural areas.

I know many have said, they don't believe the range is true to the distance displayed on the map. You have said, it's just a visual thing, but it's definitely not.

For me personally there's 50 meters difference between the in-game map, and reality. Without VIP range, 50 meters is rather a great deal

got 0 special event drop since yesterday reset at 15:00 UTC and won't be able to finish darting scorp, not per se a mapbox transition issue as it was quite recurrent before but it is made worse by the poor amount of drop and spawn points with the new map provider...

it is pretty simple we need 1/3 of drops being event supply drops and 2/3 of drops being supply drops

when there is a coin chase make it 25% coin box, 25% event supply drop and 50% supply drop

that way it should be playable on average for all players

i can send links to the devs if need be on how to generate a uniform distribution, it should be in pretty much a beginner's course in CS...

I came to this game from pokemon go due to not being able to access things since I don’t live in a large city with tons of POI. It was made easier due to changes they put in place during covid but then they reverted those changes. Even those a lot of disabled and small town people left that game Niantic didn’t care because they still make money from the people who live in populated areas and have good maps. When I came here I loved that this game there were tons of strike towers and spawns accessible until the mapbox transition 😢 I feel that Jam City/Ludia will be the same- sweeping it under the rug as long as it isn’t affecting the majority.

I am one of those rural players that also came to this game from Pokémon Go for the same reason. Pokémon Go swept all rural and disabled players under the rug and completely ignored our outcries. I check back in on the game sometimes and I see that it is filled with plenty of new players that are willing to spend money on their “research” that they now sell much more frequently in the shop. They have found ways to advertise and cater to these players. I believe the same will happen in JWA if they can’t fix the map issues.

Hey thanks for this. This seems to be specific to an address. Are we able to do something like between point A and point B for routes that we travel to work and stuff?

So for now, the best way to do that would be to get a couple addresses from along your route to work and then get the long/lat for them and then submit them separately. It's kinda time consuming but that's the only way at the moment.

@still surge, this is what we have been waiting months for? This is ridiculous. Requesting your users to each supply hundreds of inputs of addresses and lat/lon coordinates to populate the map along routes is absolutely ridiculous and hugely time consuming (especially since this game already collects that data from the users!). This is going to do nothing and be yet another continuing example of Ludia's clusterf.

We are real people with real lives. Use the computing tools in your hands to automate this process. This is simply nuts to try to do this manually.

I also see that there is no mention of when any of those provided inputs would result in any measurable improvement for the player who took the time to do it nor any guarantee that there would be any. Performing this task on faith ain't gonna happen.

addressing the issues we are relaying is much more constructive

different rarities on the same day for special events have been complained about hundreds of times, nobody likes it, nobody asked for it unless the mechanism is fixed and a special event drop can spawn any rarity but that is not the case at the moment

this issue is made worse by the mapbox transition where many are still affected by fewer supply drops and hence can't complete the special events because they are unable to find a rarity or another

instead of new omega creatures or creature markers that are useless, it would be much better for all involved to see QoL improvements

When I’m out driving around to be able to play, there are roads that never have been there that shows buildings that aren’t there and are populated. I’ve created maps since 1985. Something is being overlooked in this mess.

i'm f2p, and this is pretty much how i've played since i started, some flexibility with things added, but pvp and tourney dinos were NEVER something i considered.

My goals:
1 - have all dinos unlocked.
2 - have all dinos need for raids to spec, except the unicorn ones only needed for 1 raid).
3 - have enough unique dna to level to 29 (I don't level them, because coins, but to be ready if they ever become raid viable)
4 - have enough fusible apex dna to take to L30
5 - my special projects (like my L29 irritator, might look into the fuku family)
6 - I might look into tourney dinos, eventually, maybe, it COULD happen, but i wouldn't bet on it

I like it. It’s extra supply drops to spin, possible towers not at work or home, and hopefully a different zone than work or home to have a chance at other creatures.

I also noticed it was a nice a smooth transition back to my gps location with no spinning purple circle etc.

I dont think they've ever been broken? Maybe in the first week or two of the map change things were really off? I still get regular nest spawns where I'm at in the Midwest U.S. I havent noticed a real difference tho.

Also, are you 100% sure gorgo is still a restaurant spawn? They may have changed that without notifying us? I know its a Thursday spawn for sure. Could be any number of things honestly.

At work and home I have only two raids or even less, zero. Before Mapbox I had 2-3 raids all the time, at least 2 kind of rarity

So, it will take you to a gps free zone. And everyone is sent to 1 of 6 zones depending on IRL location. And everything in the zone is the same, other than scent dinos.

So if there's an omega, or an epic or something in your zone you can ALL see it that are in that location (as long as its not from a scent).

Therefore, you can call out things for each other.

Where it sends you based on IRL location at time implemented:

if you have a scent active, you do not lose the scent, however you do lose the spawn and reroll what is currently spawning for the scent (practice with an unimportant scent to see what i mean).

Will the map ever be restored to what it was like before Mapbox? Still blank at my home and about half of the area where I drive. I’m in northeastern Kentucky. The LA no GPS location helps some. Around 1 year and very little improvement. Any hope for real improvements or just new Dino’s added constantly to try to keep us happy? It’s not working for me.

I was told by the game developers today that the spawn rate of strike events coin boxes, and raids being less is to be expected the game is functioning as intended hence therefore read between the lines corporate greed strikes again it ruined Niantic and Pokemon go and now it's going to ruin this game as well

From where I sit raids strike a bits and and the coin Chase on Sunday it was plentiful with lots of points now it is not

If you had to reload the game to get POIs that exist in the first place, it wasn't mapbox 🪬
