Skill tournaments being removed is probably the best thing ever. It was never skill it was RNG and location based ping data.

The rng was always a problem and I have no idea how to deal with speed ties but there's no reason to be in favor of letting someone pay for a level 6 toro to have something literally no rare can kill

People invest in games they play and hobbies. If someone was interested in basketball would you complain they paid money to buy a new basketball or shoes to play in.

Yet you want someone to be shamed for spending money on a game they play everyday.

Jam City bought Ludia and fired over 80% of their emploeees.

There's plenty of people who just pay for vip or the monthly pass and an incubator every once in a while and they're completely fine and almost certainly the most important demographic in this game

Realistically people only spending $100 a week/month are the vast majority of Ludia's profit. Big spenders dropping $1000-5000 a month don't actually do as much as people imagine. The issue is ludia makes the game in favor of the big spenders when they rely on your average Joe buying a $20 incubator every week

I will admit your are both rational and agree spending $50 a month for VIP and Pass are okay.

It just makes me upset that they don't seem to understand those economics and that comes at the hurt of us, the employees, and the executives of the company

I think the thing they’re trying to say is that spending money isn’t bad, the game just wants you to drop literal thousands. Ever heard of the EVE bank scandal? That’s something that could happen in this game.

If you haven’t heard of it, it was basically someone setting up a fully functional bank in the game EVE online. They were huge, and processed tons of money.

Until the CEO took all the currency and ran away, and made tons of real world cash.

Ludia could do this-people who drop tons of money just end up with nothing to show for it, except having lost massive amounts of money

I can spend thousands on a vacation and have nothing to show for it other than the experience. Same thing if I spend money going to a movie, amusement park or sporting event etc. Not everything you pay for is tangible. I don’t know why people get so upset on how other people spend the money they earn.

I think the thing is, people spend money and get an advantage in this game. Nothing against the people who do spend including myself but it’s really not the same thing.

Sure you’re investing in an interest but it has a negative effect on people who don’t spend around you, it’s ultimately ludia/jamcity s fault for continuing to have this sort of system.

People complain because they want fixes, if no one spoke out how would anyone know when to change.

I think what they’ve done to skill tourneys is horrendous and should be solved by ludia the people who roll out updates like it’s going out of style.
