Just looking at the price of maxing up ceratosaurus, which Ludia themselves have essentially stated you can only get with money or when they feel like it, makes it clear non hybrid uniques were definitely not planned to be an accessible option for players. Just looking at the cost of cerato alone(4900 dna to get level 30 and t5) you already have to buy 20 incubators for 250 dna which would probably be sold for 99.99$ which already gives you 2,000$. Catalysts triple this price with 6,281$ for all 3 types, while you can get them for free with only a few recommendations a day that don't give all that much it could take weeks to get that much and time is about the only thing some people can't afford in this game. So with a total price tag of roughly 8,281$ for a single dinosaur in a free game that will be useless by the end of summer you have to wonder, who is Ludia's target demographic? It's certainly not the casual spenders or free to players and they've made that very clear each update.
#Why So Expensive?

Inflation I guess. 🤣
Wow that is absurd. I knew these non hybrid uniques were a bad idea but damn!
The catalysts costs are universal as well so even if you get the ingredients for free it's still 6k to enhance right away
I think it's crazy that getting a top 500 viable team would literally cost 50,000$ if you did it from scratch
Also that a gold catalyst is valued at 1.07$
As far as im aware even the worst triple a titles recently dont inflate more than 500$ with their dlcs
And for a licensed game they sure managed to get even with prices with actual video game titles like cod
Like licensed games back then are 80% horrible but they didnt cost more than your average triple a ps2/3 game
I'm not sure what prices are like but you could probably buy at least a low end PC and a much better game for the cost of a maxed out cerato
Buying a full team of t5 enhanced creatures is more than enough for a car
Again im not trying to get too realistically bleak with these scenario
But whats the point of burning money on something that you cant keep in the end
Even if you narrow down jwa to the "location based game" category i see no point of spending way more compared to other game genres/bragging rights when its not even considered some cult classic
Again not my money and not my business but at this point the ludia and jc arent really the only absurd ones here (and again no offense)
Especially when this game is more than likely going to get shut down after hanging around as a hollow shell for a few years before Jamcity decides keeping the servers on isn't profitable
