To increase incentive to collect alliance points, i propose we add a separate reward based off of the individual leaderboard among alliances. The reward tiers may or may not be bucketed (Giving all players that were 10-20th place the same reward, for example).
The rewards should also factor in the AC tier so that players don't simply create single-player alliances and always score 1st.
Such rewards could be anything, such as coins and cash.

People won't even do 10 kills in many alliances. This could make a lot more start doing it

Many players do their best and their best IS 10 takedowns. Sometimes you just dont have the dinos (e.g. rexy or pb in last tournament). As much as I tried, I got nowhere.
If the prize for the alliance considers the number of trophies a player brings, then many people (like me) would not bother with some tournaments (e.g. I am excellent at common and rare, awful at epic or legendary).
However the idea MAKES sense, I like it! But I dont see it making the game better or Ludia implementing it well.

Even with just 10 kills every tournament you can get a decent amount of AP.
And players are usually in alliances that have players just like them. So if they can only get 10 kills so can their allies.
I dont have GemD. However I enjoy people getting the last and best dino. It gives me the chance to play difficult matches and experiment with old dinos.
However that is something I enjoy... so I rather downvote and let the majority decide

I think the idea is GREAT. However I am in an alliance in which I am the underdog.
If I understand the idea, they would get BETTER prizes, so the divide would get larger. I.e. not as fun for me.

In Library it just kills 1 of my dinos... sometimes less, sometimes more (10% of the time). So i dont share the dislike so far

That's simply not possible when there are only 1.5 counters.
I think that is the best approach... but same opinion on my side. Top 50% gets better for same effort (i battle a lot, but sometimes i am unlucky)

my biggest problem with the game overall is that the already strong people become stronger and stronger which completely locks out the newer players or f2p players
yeah bad players doesn't mean it's weak. You can definitely kill it if it just keeps basic striking.
