everyone hates when they cant dart creature that is 1meter away behind the larger circle, so what if EVERY creature on the map was moving in small circle like apexes, flock small and medium pterosaurs and flying birds do?

Yes

Thats the best idea yet

Good idea, but the amount of lag thsi would create for the game is just unneeded. That and if the mess it up like postimetrodon boss. Still haven't fixed its hit box.

Yea lag is the only thing that worries me about this idea

I have thought about this before tbh. Like it would be nice if they’re moving around with moving hitboxes

#

But as other say. The lag would be too immense

raid bosses do it

Yes. But there's maybe 6 rendered on the map at any one time. With creatures, there could be upwards of 10 or more all moving at once. Plus all the hit box collisions for not only the strike towers but each other if they spawn right next to one another.

12 where im at

wait no 10 bosses where im at

So 10 bosses. Double or triple that number to account for regular creature spawns and scents on top of thst. So 20-30 individual creatures all moving (not including pterasaurs since they already do that) I'm not a fan of the immense ammount of lag and foreseeable problems.

If I counted right only 11 dinosaurs in my fov

#

I have also never seen 20-30 dinos in my fov if I'm being honest

#

Most I would ever see is when driving

Not a bad idea by any means, I know that pain all too well, then again, your gonna have creatures, just like boss raids, that even though they are moving, they can still JUST be out of reach. While I like the idea, it doesn’t fix the “problem” it’s just extra code and extra stuff for the game to process

#

This game is location based and it means if you really want it, you gotta walk for it

Is that how it works?

Mmm I get it... but still. Your not fixing the issue that no matter what, your still gonna have stuff outside your range by JUST that much. I like the idea, it’s just the processing power required to not truly fix the issue is the concern. Again, this game is supposed to encourage outward exploration. OR for those who can’t go out, that’s why we invented the scents like the three hour ones you can get once every 6hrs for free

#

Soo really, maybe we should think about making more specialized scents. Instead of increasing processing power requirements, how about a new scent type. Or lure. Basically it would work that “hey i see X creature (spawning naturally and not special event creatures under the green drops) and I want it, but awww it’s out of range. Good thing I have this special scent that will bring it to me” and by the dramatic reenactment, the scent works by basically respawning creature X into your inner circle. Just tap on creature, hit a magical new button for the special scent, then presto, creature is in range

#

And that’s how you fix the problem you describe, without massively increasing the need for higher processing power. While I’m sure my idea isn’t perfect, I’m proposing it as a solution that is less processing heavy and furthermore, would allow you to reach ANY creature on the map as long as you have these special lures

@vague lichen maybe give this a thought. As I feel like it is more problem solving to just introduce a new mechanic that can be just more helpful in general. Btw, love your profile pic. Did you make that drawing yourself?
