Basta the whole running training revolves around heart rate zones. Dun kasi sinusukat yung effort and pace -- gaano ka-effort yung pump ng heart to sustain a certain effort/pace.

Kung gamit na gamit yung joints, prone talaga yan sa arthritis. Kaya nga 'ko nagti-take ng collagen. Parang "napupudpod" kasi yung "cushion" sa joints, lalo sa knees. Ang remarkable kay @fresh knot , kelan ka lang nagumpisang tumakbo.

So possible factors:

  1. Walang proper warm-up and cool-down/stretching
  2. Wrong running form/gait
  3. Wrong running shoes
  4. Poor nutrition
  5. Poor planning ng runs. Highly discouraged ang everyday run. Kailangan may rest days/recovery talaga. Tapos yung iba, kulang din ng strengthening.

Anyway, Genacol talaga pag may joint pain. Wala syang pain reliever pero yung quality and absorption ng collagen, maganda. So kung ma-replenish yung collagen, dapat medyo mabawasan din yung pain. Pero full dosage mo yung Genacol, 3 capsules talaga per day. Lakas makapagpa-antok lang talaga nyan. May actual patient testimonial na rin akong narinig jan. Elderly pa yun ah.

Tapes like kinesio tapes, are used usually for support and faster recovery esp ng strained muscles.

I use it as knee support kapag feeling ko sobrang tight na ng muscles around my knee. Alam ko kasing yun yung cause. I use it to lessen the pressure sa knee joint. After nun, papa-release na 'ko.

Training was supposedly a 4 hr and 20 mins long run pero sa road. Yun nga lang, had to cut-off my morning run kasi island hopping na raw. 😅

Coach was like, "Doc, lapit na ultra mo. Sobrang bitin."

And so I ran the remaining 2 hrs in the afternoon... right after the island hopping.

Body pain will always be there. Ito kasi yung madalas na struggle kaya nadi-discourage yung iba.

Start with body weight exercises.

Kaya rin naman may spacing yung programs (like upper body today, lower body bukas, light cardio sa susunod, etc.) is para kung masakit yung upper body pa, you can workout the lower body naman.

Last long run for deloading and before race day. Morning run kasi may workshop ng hapon. Marathon fueling 🔥 still baffles me pano nagawa ni Coach yung 160km 🥵

Basta the takeaway lang din, kahit hindi marathon, when it comes to proper nutrition, you use up carbs and electrolytes. So right after your exercise, replenish them. Sama na rin ng proteins since nag-breakdown din ng proteins habang gumagamit ng muscles.

And... carbo loading is not advised for runs less than 60-90 mins... even loading up a lot on... dun dun dun, gatorade, lalo kung low intensity lang naman din yung exercise 😅

I personally don't eat fastfood right after my long runs/trainings, most esp. races. It's high in saturated fat. My body used up a lot of carbs, my muscles were fatigued, hence the need for proteins for recovery ng mga "mini-tears"

Last weekend's ganaps. Medyo nakaka-OP yung 50km starting line kasi mga itsurang elites talaga mga tao 🤣 it was hard. Pagdating sa 15km mark sa may falls, 4km na puro paakyat na halos. Nakakaumay 🥲 na nakakabaliw. Didn't make it to the cutoff sa 19th km mark. Dapat pala medyo niratrat ko na rin nung start. Kulang pa rin talaga sa elevation training and experience

But guys, sulit strength and conditioning pati yung running training program. Last year, halos di ako makalakad kasi ang sakit talaga sa legs and sa paa, pero ngayon, wala! Solid! Ganda rin ng nutrition since walang cramps.

Ang hirap lang talaga kapain ng long distance trail running 😅 it was a good 19km + onting ligaw. Met some new friends din along the course. Ganda rin ng view ng Elyu sa taas. Overall, sulit naman na yung bayad
