We know he loves us. Of course he’ll play again, but I’m talking about this gig and the potential learning points from it.

1. announcing it being the last Europe show, I’d say easily there was venue capacity multiple times over hunting for tickets from overseas (there was 230k in the queue at one point)
2. discord drop being unpredictable, requiring us to be on our phones at all times. (Was it 10:43?) and the most brutal at 18:11, when I stopped at 18:00 watching from my phone from 6 a.m. I was not present with my family at all that week.
3. no London show, they should have known this was a risk and worked on the venue issue.
4. this is optional but it’s the type of thing that Fred would do. Tickets going to uber fans. Would be possibly done by lottery merch/record purchases, length of subscription to fanmails.

Ticketmaster is just a disgusting platform. The venue I reckon was picked as 3 arena was booked up for turnstile that night and he needed something with a roof to hang up the cloth installation.

Ticketmaster queue system is absolutely flawed. Allowing people to buy 4 tickets is a joke, 2 max imo. Also 0 reason to not open resale IMMEDIATELY after ticket sales. Why only the night before? Not to mention and not sure if anyone realised but resale tickets only released in 30 min interval lol. And resale tickets being more expensive 🤡 hate Ticketmaster so much

Coming to Ticketmaster - it is disgusting and there's other option as it's the monopoly they have in Dublin. Dice and RA are for smaller gigs and venues. Disappointed people who didn't get tickets were for all venues.

Ticket resales wait until last day ? I'd say they can improve the system but the tickets going on resale can only happen when someone sells their tickets.

On the whole tour they have been avoiding TM where its possible, and all systems (those not TM) were set up in a way that nobody can resell the tickets for profit. So when they HAD to deal with TM they have also set it up in way that scalping was not possible.

There werent enough spaces and tickets. Had nothing to do with TM. All of my friends went to Dublin who wanted to and was not focused on “how bad it is” but more focued on getting a ticket.

Would you rather buy a single ticket for 300? Most people said even the 80 is expensive.

How is using TM providing a system where scalping isn’t possible? We got a system where buying a ticket after release could only be done from unofficial sources until the night before, resulting in from what we’ve seen a few tickets listed over 300, and alternatively getting one for face value meant navigating through hundreds of scammers on multiple platforms.

Don’t understand why you think i blaming TM for not enough tickets or spaces, I don’t think that was an issue. The issue was securing a ticket from trusted sources, for a reasonable price, after the fact. TM for having a monopoly in Ireland on tickets does not provide a system good enough to do that.

Don’t think anyone in this chat was focused on how bad the system was until after the fact - like your friends I also focused on getting a ticket and got one in the end from the last min discord drop. 7+ hours of refreshing Ticketmaster resale, and messaging over 100 people on other platforms for tickets didn’t get me a single ticket 🤣 unlike your friends I had atleast 6 others who could not find a ticket so unsure how ‘focusing on getting a ticket’ here is what was missing

I have a cold from Saturday. I knew I would. Prior to Fred, I'd already had COVID or the flu, plus a sinus and throat infection. I definitely wasn't contagious by Fred though as I'd been recovering for weeks. As soon as I came back from Dublin, I said I'd definitely have caught something. It's virus season and we were all so close together indoors. People were coughing and sneezing on the flights too. I reconciled myself with the fact that I was going to get ill again and I'd do it again in a heartbeat (although, granted, not this week).
