I‘ve been reading rather silently here since yesterday, and I finally wanted to say thank you. This chat here really helped me cope a little. I belong to the stupid ones who booked their flight before they got a ticket. Because I missed out on Lyon, as when I had a ticket there were no hotel rooms available anymore. This was my risk and I was willing to take it. But that story they just posted makes me kinda angry. They knew from the start the venue was too small. Which is why it’s the first show he didn’t post about on his feed but only in his stories. They knew it was going to be a disaster. They knew people were already booking trips. But instead of hinting that it was a smaller show and asking people not to travel and keep it for the locals, he encouraged them by dropping the day in advance. And then an even smaller, even more exclusive show as a so-called compensation to a handful of lucky ones, sorry, that just felt like a slap in the face. Please don’t get me wrong, I am super happy for everyone who gets to go. You know what would have been a great solution? Do a double shift. One show from 10.00 to 15.00 and the next from 16.30 on. Invite different guests for both. He‘s young! He can do that!

Anyway, sorry for the rant. Had to get that off my chest.

Really nothing they could do. We are very limited in Dublin as to what venues could be used. Just one of them things, you’ll miss out on gigs from time to time. It’s not the end of the world
