#TikTok Videos Cut Off Issue (Galaxy Z Fold4)
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
That's not a device issue. Social apps loathe sudden changes in aspect ratios.
I would reccommend closing and reopening the app.
Yup. Z Fold has either a narrow skinny screen or a fat screen. Those weird aspect ratios, combined with the swapping aspect, doesn't work.

Hi there,
As I browse through TikTok, about 1 out of every 5 videos will be cut off on the right side, with roughly 1/3 of the video appearing to be pushed off the screen. This leaves a black space where the video should be, effectively shifting the content to the left. The problem occurs when I unfold my phone to use the larger screen for watching videos. I've been experiencing a specific issue for the past 2-3 weeks.
Details:
The issue seems to be triggered when I open the comments section of a video. Initially, everything works fine, but after viewing comments, videos start shifting off to the left, with the problem recurring approximately every 5 videos.
This problem has only started in the last 2-3 weeks, with TikTok functioning normally before that.
Steps I've taken so far include restarting my device, clearing the app's cache, and reinstalling the latest version of TikTok, none of which have resolved the issue.
Technical Details:
TikTok Version: 33.3.4
Phone Model: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 (SM-F936U)
Operating System: One UI 6.0, Android version 14
Has anyone else encountered this issue, and if so, have you found a solution? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
It's been working fine for months, only recently started acting up. Wondering if it's because of a recent update, either from Samsung, Android, or tiktok. Not sure
Send that to tiktok.
I did, just covering all my bases and seeing if anyone else here isexpereincing it
I've been using Folds for a long time, but I don't have TikTok, and it seems like you already tried everything I would have suggested.
I never use tiktok.
ok
Youtube resizes correctly.
Try Shorts. Much more original content. Also they have the Do not reccommend channel fuction.
that's not helpful, but thx anyways

Not a good analogy.
