I have called Samsung many times over this issue. My Galaxy 6 watch does not light up and tell me when I received a text notification. It does not say who it's from or what it says. I only get the orange dot telling me I have a notification. I can view text messages, respond, write a text message and send it from my watch. My watch lights up and tells me who's calling. I get notifications from all the other apps. But it does not do it for text messages. I just took it into an Asurion store and they thought it might be related to my Bluetooth. Under my Bluetooth setting under my watch it says connected for calls. That is why they think it's a Bluetooth issue and it's not set up for text messages. However, my boyfriend's Bluetooth says the same thing for his watch and he is able to view text messages and they pop up on his watch. And if it's a Bluetooth issue, I don't think I would be able to read my texts on my watch. It isn't like I'm not getting them. It's just the watch face doesn't light up and the watch does not vibrate or make a sound. I've already returned one watch and exchanged it for another and it is still doing the same thing. I even had somebody at Geek Squad at Best Buy look at it. All of the settings are on. I was told by Asurion that it might be a motherboard issue and I may need to send back my brand new Samsung s23 Ultra.
Has anyone else had something happen similar to this? And if so, could you please give me any suggestions. Unless there's a setting deeply hidden somewhere, all the settings are turned on correctly.
I have factory reset my watch a couple times, I have deleted the Bluetooth and reset it, I've restarted both the watch and my phone.
My next step is connecting my watch to my boyfriend's phone and connecting his watch to my phone to try and narrow it down. But that can't happen for a few more days, so I'm just trying to see what I can do in the meantime. I do not want to send my phone in for repair.
Thank you for any suggestions!
