Hi Hailey, It is prob a Driver issue. Can u unplug the ssd and try booting again just to be sure
As soon as I take the SSD out my PC works competely fine
I also know it's a working SSD, I've put it into another PC without any issues
is it showing up in BIOS?
Yep
Tried doing UEFI and Legacy+UEFI but didn't change
From what I've seen online it seems I need to put Windows onto the new SSD, but I don't know how to do that if my PC won't start with it in
Does your PC go to the BIOS if the new SSD is in, and the old SSD is not?
Yes
Maybe it's a boot conflict.
The problem is that u cant even reach Samsung Magician to update its frimware so prob a bios thing
But installing Windows onto a new SSD is pretty easy.
How would I go about doing that?
Download the Windows installation files to a flash drive, boot off the flash drive (which should happen automatically) and follow the setup steps. It'll automatically install Windows to the SSD, provided everything is functional.
Hailey does it show you what process failed on the blue screen?
Thank you! Will try this after work
Nope just says critical service failed
Let me know if you need any help.
Alright, try putting windows on it after work (:
Do you use cloud storage for all your documents, photos, videos, ect?
Thank you! I use my D drive for this storage, but also have everything on Microsoft One Drive
So C just has Windows and applications?
Yep
