Elysion Tower does have actual unit variety issues, but Konpaku is right that a lot of people are struggling cause they haven't invested in many units. I've been using D, SHelm, MPriv, Priv, Vesti for normal stages and dropping MPriv for regular Helm on bosses. Still have issues because they're missing things like a strong targetted single target burst in the vein of Alice, RH, SW, and Maxwell. They also don't have any healing options that also offer good offensive support.

Guillotine is also a good option for Elysion Tower but she doesn't completely solve the single target DPS issue because her Burst targets based on enemy stats instead of being manually targetable by the player. Sometimes it just misfires into an irrelevant ass enemy instead of the stage boss.

Like functionally, Alice, Maxwell, Red Hood, and Snow White serve 2 purposes in the tower teams. One of them is obvious and it's boss damage against both regular stage bosses and full on boss stages. The other is that they solve certain mechanics in boss stages by bursting down parts.

Elysion's options for the former are imperfect at best, and they got nothing for the latter.

Yup. Like if we look at the other 3 Towers, Naga has caster's attack buffs even without Tia and Tia offers attack damage and shielding, Blanc does require Noir more than the other B2s require their partners but has that damage vuln up and is a stronger healer, and Crown can handle some survivability on her own and rewards running Rapunzel with even more attack damage than what her burst already gives.

Marciana just does not have that. Helm is better being an attacker with that statline but has to take a B3 slot which could be spent on units with more impactful personal damage increases.

In general I find Elysion has plenty of good units, but their truly stellar units require synergies with units from other manufacturers and it leaves their Tower hung out to dry.

Like MPriv makes a pretty good shotgun comp, but you want Tove and maybe Leona for that. Marciana is a staple, but primarily of SAnis comps which SAnis does a ton of buffing passively from the B3 that many similarly effective DPS units don't do.

Elysion Tower is one of the reasons I'm very happy with MPriv. She's a simple mapwipe with no real conditionals to fulfill to work well. The other reason is tha the standard banner non-Pilgrims could use more DPS options for newer players to be able to wishlist and MPriv is a good addition.
