the attack and defense formula is pretty standard too, only thing is crit is probably 1/3 to 1/2 the strength of usual due to dilution, but even if it weren't diluted it still wouldn't compare to attack

biggest thing is that defense takes out a severe chunk of damage compared to most any other game due to the stat penalty, so it warps attack buffs heavily

most games there's only a handful of high def enemies that warp things that much, but in nikke it's most everything when pushing at the edge of your limit because of your attack getting wrecked by cp penalty
