tl;dr hit rate makes bullet spread more compact which in turn affects accuracy and hit/effective range and not only applicable to shotgun but all weapon aside RL and SR
our issue with hit rate is the source of it in game is so little it might as well kind of do nothing

I can give you a simple example, harran s1 applies a poison, lets say it does "10%" of her attack. The poison lasts 5 seconds, and ticks every second. so that would mean it would deal 10% of her atk 5 times, yes. Lets treat this as the baseline.
in case 1, lets assume the poison debuff is snapshotted on application. so, if harran has 1000 attack, and the poison is applied, then the 10% poison tick every second would do:
100 damage, 100 damage, 100 damage, 100 damage, 100 damage
for a total of 500 damage. even if harran gets buffed to 2000 attack halfway through this poison effect, it wouldn't change the damage output of the poison because it was calculated as 1000 attack when the debuff was applied.
in case 2, lets assume the poison debuff is calculated every instance of damage. so lets say harran has 1000 attack now and applies the poison. the 10% poison tick every second does...
100 damage, 100 damage ok- but what if between second 2 and 3, harran gains a buff, or charges up her skill. lets just go with a simple 50% attack buff. so harran now has 1500 attack. IF the poison is calculated per instance of damage, then the follow poison ticks will deal 150 damage, 150 damage, 150 damage since harran's attack is now 1500.
so with the conversation earlier, I'm wondering if charge affects her DoT too, as if she charges, to 250%, and it follows case 2, her DoT damage on tick would be increased by 250% as well, so if it would have done 100 damage, then now it does 250 damage.

Baseline:
51k power on standard shotgun
53k power on Shotgun +1.
1:18 mins total time for Team 1 - Standard Shotgun Team (No Pilgrim):
Liter Drake Maiden Sugar Dolla
Drake, dealing the most dmg, aimed for interruption. (Only unit with leveled skill, about 1200 atk less than Scarlet with same gear)
Observation:
-Reached Phase 3 really quickly because Drill moves closer due to not interrupting in Phase 2.
- Slower to kill phase 3 because drill is really far away.
- extremely consistent interruptions apart from phase 2. However, because of this, it keeps the drill further away than optimal dmg range.
1:08 mins total time for Team 2 - Shotgun + 1 (scarlet):
Liter Drake Scarlet Sugar Dolla
Drake, aimed for interruption.
Scarlet dealt the most dmg, about 15% more than drake. (maxed levelled skill (4))
Observations:
- Slower to reach Phase 3 because lower uptime on Phase 2 drill, depends on who you talk to this might be a detriment.
- Faster kill time after Phase 2. Since Drill is always far away.
- Decently good interruption, missing a few on phase 3, but this can be a good thing as it moves the drill closer.

Interception S bug specifically for mobile users:
- screen shake on at 100%, high effects quality, high graphics options and max out all graphics including fog level
- turn off autoburst, skill animation should be off as well
- at around 2:50 manually click burst 1 and burst 2 so you can instantly burst 3 on demand
- wait for 2nd set of red circles to show an "X", then burst 3. You want "full burst" to appear on your screen when the small red X shadows spawn. Very finicky timing.
- don't burst until he goes into second phase
- use burst 1 and burst 2 during first set of red circles
- Again, press burst 3 when 2nd set of red circles show an "X"
- just autoburst and go make coffee, come back to around 7.5m damage done

The timing also takes quite a bit of practice, toon me around 25 tries this morning
well it could be timing, i dunno. I tried various bursts right when the 47 ticks to 46 seconds as thats the same time in the video but it never worked for me. I also noticed how much the game was lagging during the mechanic skip (though might be the recording?) and my game kept running pretty smooth throughout the sequence

I believe the particular frame is when the circles disappear and the first small X shadow appears, you want "full burst" to appear on your screen then. It's been consistent for me so far, but that's a tiny sample size so I can't guarantee it works for everyone. Might vary from device to device too.

hmm. I'll keep trying though that doesn't seem to be what's happening during the reference video, at least for the first burst. The full burst sign shows up like several frames before the circles even disappear. It could also be that you do need to be frame perfect, but the laggier you can make your game run, the more leeway you have to proc it. Have others been able to replicate it?

those are tossed out of the way intentionally so you can instantly proc "full burst" at the desired frame(s), they are not relevant to the bug at all from what I understand.

Okay! Great news. I managed to replicate the entire bug and reached to stage 7. (got a T7 Attacker glove too praise RNJesus) I managed to do this by finding my old phone and downloading Nikke there and using that. On the highest settings with all sliders maxed out, the fight was noticeably laggier just like in the video. Upon doing that, I was able to replicate the first stage cheese with relative accuracy, getting it maybe 1 in 3-4 tries. The timing is still pretty tight, but compared to my current phone where I couldn't do it at all, it was a major improvement. I think this concludes that lag is an important factor in this bug, or at the very least, extends the window of opportunity to replicate it.
The second stage cheese was a lot harder for me to do, but I suspect this is because I am quite undergeared. The two rockets do ridiculous damage to my characters and can ko many of the squishier ones. I think if one of your characters die, the trick will be impossible.
This leads me to list some of the things I think are important in replicating the cheese. The first is lag, as I mentioned, which makes this cheese replicable even with boomer reaction like me.
The second is sheer volume of projectiles. I saw in a youtube video about how the game's engine is limited in the amount of objects it can process at once and that if you play the game at 30 fps cap, it will start deleting some of your projectiles and therefore decreasing your damage. Playing at 60 FPS deletes less projectiles. This matched my experience in testing in the shooting range. Therefore, what I think is happening is that we are trying to overload the game engine with objects and events (full burst) such that it deletes/freezes the boss AI due to processing error.
This is also why I think Diesel is a prime choice of character to use as the main nikke. She outputs so many bullets that it really helps in overhwelming the engine. I noticed that everytime she was targetted by the missiles and stunned, it was much harder to cheese the boss. (though I was able to pull it off once)
This calls back to why I think having a character die in the battle will make the cheese much harder - there are just less bullets flying about.
Lastly, I do think having higher powerleveld characters will make this trick a lot easier. There is a lot of rng here, if the missiles target the same character twice, they are basically dead. So ideally, you would probably want enough health so all of your units can survive two missles in someway.
A good test in the future would be if using the 30 fps cap makes this trick easier to replicate by utilizing the game engine limitations. Anyway, thank you for listening to my ted talk

I think you're on the right track, because I have procced the bug without full bursting, for example using rupee I was consistently proccing phase 1, and p sure I procced p3 last night despite being late on my full burst

No, I've already figured out that LBs for SSR and SRs give 300 and 50 manufacturers points respectively.
And they give flat stats, which is already accounted for in Power calculations.

I actually managed to do this too today with Diesel and Rupee, but only on the Phase 1 skip. Basically what happened was I was too early on my full burst but I kept firing Diesel at the boss. Specifically, I hit the boss weakpoint (parts which flash upon hit) By pouring Diesels disgusting bullets per second, the boss just skipped the mechanic at times.
I was unable to do this again for Phase 2 skip, presumably because the boss loses its weakpoints so there's nothing to shoot at. I think each bullet hitting the weakpoints counts as an individual event (after all, the game has to process the hit to make it flash) and all those events overflow and make the boss skip its mechanic.
there is a new and easier bug
but you need a bit of power/damage to pull it off

- play on manual (duh)
- make sure you have some kind of time-slow mo girl in team(ex.anis or drake) ... dont play her
- when burst is ready, fire your gun (time it when red circles are out)
- while holding fire, trigger your burst skill until the time stop happens
- keep holding the fire and shoot the red circles
Note:
a. only your manual controlled girl will shoot, so if she doesnt have enough damage to take out the circles.. then this wont be useful

i didnt test, but i assume doesnt.. but who knows.. it might work
