Because you shouldn't rename them. The .002, .003 etc. suffix is what allows the decompression program to be able to extract them all as one file.

You're gonna export TextAsset files and Texture2D, then click on "import data" in Spine and import the skel file

You can swith between versions. Nikke uses 4.1.20, before you launch Spine change your version. You'll see it on top of the window when you first run Spine. If you use Trial version, you can't change the version, it always runs on the latest

You said you got it, I thought you bought the software. Well, only thing you can do is to ask someone to upgrade their files to 4.3.37-beta version so you can open them in your Spine. Or you can use 🏴‍☠️ version but it's 3.8 so this time you'll need to ask them to downgrade the file instead. Either way, you'll have to ask people

Well there are other software that you can use for 2D animations and such but sadly none of them supports Spine's skel files, you need it as a json. Someone can export it like that I guess but even if you have the json, it'll still be frustrating to work with. Your best bet is asking people to downgrade/upgrade the files and use Spine honestly

uuuh wait, there might've been some misunderstanding, the wiki itself doesn't require any structure to function. because I share the files directly. basically just hosting the decrypted catalog files. and people (modders mainly) downloads those and use them. and a1teri's file finder site or kxde's parent folder site (idk about any other site) is what requires a specific structure. now, modders can use those site to find what they need by using this catalog files on those sites, or they can simply open the catalog files and manually search the file names.
So here is the thing, if you do provide the dump, I can simply upload it to the website and people could use it to manually find what they need, or if they want to wait for lorax, then they can use those for the easy way to find files. its just a matter of convenience.
and about the favourite, yea afaik they are downloaded when you unlock them in-game

if you just want to take some layers off, just paint.net/photoshop/gimp or any other similar software is enough, Spine is not necessary for such. but if you want to add anything to the costume, or change the shape of the costume, then Spine is necessary. and as for swapping a paid skin onto the default skin, while you can do that, but you wont find any explicit instruction on the wiki. this is so that the game devs has one less reason to ruin modding.

4. After applying the mod, order the folders by date, to see which one you modified the last.
5. Order the files in the folder by size to easily find the file matching the mod (same size).
6. Right clic on the file mark as read only.
7. You should know you can just go to the Outpost, and apply the lobby mods there, you don't need to close the game or restart.

In script 3, add "from UnityPy.enums import TextureFormat" at the top with the other imports and replace the line (around line 57 or so) "data.image = pil_img" with "data.set_image(pil_img, target_format=TextureFormat(4), mipmap_count=4)"

It was specifically for the burst swapper, but the same fix worked for my portrait, chibi, and lobby swappers too

the issue is on this latest game patch they changed all the chibi files spliting them on two files, so old chibi mods will work because those old files still contain the required data in one single file but all the new files can't be swapped anymore by the old way
