Basicly, if you don't use Paint.NET to edit the file will be in STA, you need to convert it back to PMA then import it to PAINT.NET

First open your original png (the one you extract from game file) with paint.net

Then click layer -> import file

Then choose your edit picture, that you converted to PMA

Now you have 2 layers, OG one and edit one.
You can turn the OG layer off and save the file, and it finished

But from my experience when convert file to PMA, the rim of all part got darker, and it will look weird in game.
So when I work, I delete all unused part from my edit layer and use the original part as much as possible.

Hello. if anyone on here repacks mods I need some help. Suddenly, my NAU won't let me decrypt ANYTHING. I'm not that smart so I don't know if I'm explaining things correctly. Whenever I try to decrypt any of the files (right now I'm trying to repack an old Miranada mod by mr.miagi) I can't decrypt the character file because I'm missing key 0

I can use UABEA just fine for modded files. mr miagi has these really old mods that are nice so I was repacking them (I don't know where to find mods so I repack any whenever I get the chance) You know how you drag the character files into NAU whenever you want to grt the SKEL ATLAS and whatever the last one's called? I was doing that to repack mods, I tested some of them in game and noticed that I had missed a neon, Twingling bunny, and Miranada so I want back to repack them, that's when the command started showing that I was missing keys even though the program was JUST working fine. (Sorry for all the yap, thanks for the V0 I'll try that and see what happens)

if you just want the skel, atlas and the png, then you only need UABEA or Asset Studio. NAU is only for when you need to decrypt the file, and that is required when you are using the game's original files. not mod files

this is my guess. because there is no way the key_0 from a specific key won't exist. so the only thing I can suggest is to be careful on what you delete. other thing is, if you need new keys or fix the latest keys, then you can use the wiki to generate the keys yourself

the new NMM was posted yesterday, and Nikke got an update today (idk, I didn't start nikke today yet, so I'm believing your words). afaik, the new NMM still uses the same catalogs as the NMM 0.3.1, and those needs to be updated manually by NMM's creator. So yes, even if you are using the new one, you will still need to wait for the catalog update. good thing is, the update is server side, so after NMM creator updates it, you wont have to do anything still. Also, from my experience, the new one doesn't even load the nikke page if the model isn't loaded unlike NMM 0.3.1 where it would show an invisible or pink model. But if the mod file itself is good and updated, it works, I tested it using a few mods.

move the swapped character to your "mods" folder, the "Repacked" folder must be empty when you're swapping characters because if you leave for example that Rapi swap (c010_00_standing.....) in the folder then the next time you swap another character using Rapi the swapper will detect duplicated files in "Repacked" folder

the update deleted everything in the game directory, and my burst swapper replaces files in that directory directly..... so if you don't have some backup of the swaps you made before the update you will need to swap the bursts again

Hi, so I got the NMM 0.3.2 version however, my Nikke mods refuse to work. It is as if I never installed the mods in the first place.

I tried to do the troubleshooting steps in the wiki but nothing worked

do the mods that were made after NMM 0.3.2 update work only while those before the update won't work?

The mods are working just fine, I only have issues with marciana standing, maybe you are not using the nkab files of the new NMM, opening the first time as administrator, wait until all config downloads for mods, try the repair through launcher then close after loading the game without getting to lobby, etc.

btw sometimes the mods don't apply for me the first time, but after redownloading configs works

if mods don't apply the first time i recommend closing the game, and reapply them with just doing double clic to open NMM, btw removing the addressables i think that helps too

right from nikke modding wiki:

Open the game's launcher and use "Repair".
After repair is completed, launch NIKKE and let it download the missing files.
Wait until the message "Enter to continue" and then close the game and the launcher.

Open NMM as Admin and select game path to your nikke.exe.

Go to the game's location and delete "UnityCrashHandler64".
Go to the folder where you extracted NMM, open the "deps" folder, then open the "nkab" folder.
Copy all of them and then go to the game's location and paste them. Replace if asked.
Apply the mods you want on NMM and close NMM after that.

i'm not 100% sure if the troubleshoot step by step will help him, but it helped me to get my mods working even when I wasn't stuck at 43%.

First generate the list using physics file generator. Then copy it into premadelist. Then run the physics fixer mainfile bat. It'll ask which ones to swap. Then it generates the mod. You put it in mods and activate with NMM

I also was testing the lobby swap and burst swaps, how these works? whenever I use them I'm not getting any swapped file

those swappers replace the files automatically without the user confirmation and they delete the files used for the swap after the swapped file was moved to the game folders replacing the original files

I'll change that soon because now I got my own lobby/burst manager to work with them

the copy&replace thing is still the same but the organization is better

the swapper does the swap and moves the swapped file to the naps folder automatically, so you only see the changes when you login in your game

or when you go to your Outpost, run the swapper and then go back to the lobby screen

if you have your game running already you need to go to your Outpost, run the lobby swapper or the burst swapper, do the swap you want (the swapper will replace the files automatically) and leave the Outpost so you can see your swapped files already loaded ingame

I'm assuming you applied a mod beforehand?
When NMM applies a mod it deletes the original file so cant search for it
You need to deactivate the mod and boot up the game once for it to be redownloded
