Modding on android is not possible due to requiring the use of NMM (Nikke Mod Manager), which is only available for computer at this point in time. Used to be able to mod back but not anymore. The last thing I heard you might be able to mod for android still are burst skillcut animations and lobby wallpaper animations

Mods don't apply reliably lately anyway, so it may not be a user issue at this time
Danieru (the guy behind NMM) is currently working to see if they can update it, but for now assume modding is unreliable for Nikke on PC

Followed the Doc to install the NMM but it just wont seem to work
I went though the Troubleshooting guide but no luck
I can physically see the mods shortcut in the game I presume the MM made and the graphics are high and it's all on the main drive and the mod launcher is installed next to the game.
Any suggestions on what else i could try?

I tried it already but once i open my nikke with a mod it just closes the nikke Windows right again
closes nikke? that's weird...if it was just that the mod wasn't repacked, then it would show as pink or invisible in-game, meaning the game itself would run iirc...but in your case, the game closes, so I don't think your issue is about repacking a mod

yeah got the same issue.
Try completely closing Nikke in the system tray and repeat the process of Apply Mods, that seemed to work for me after trying to add a few more mods.
try uh
nmm/deps/nkab/ folder on the left, nikke.exe folder on the right
also try goign to %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\com_proximabeta\NIKKE\com.unity.addressables and delete all files, restart nikke and let it load to 100%, then exit nikke and apply mods before starting again

nope, I just changed the script that gets the raw files from your drive for the files from the cloud
Only thing I thought to add to the repacker is something to work with old mods with hashed names
Mods seem to be working fine on my end as well, after:
- Re-packing all mods using KXDE's repacker
- Clearing out addressables and getting fresh ones from a clean boot of Nikke
- Using NMM 0.3
- Deleting UnityCrashHandler (not sure if this had any effect on performance, really)
Didn't need to do anything with the 'nkab' folder

'requests' is needed to make the script able to download the files from the cloud iirc

i got it to work, i was using an old version but now when i press apply wait the 10s and then start the game the mods just dont show up, i figured maybe the mods were old so i got one of the new ones that was just posted tried that and still nothing

Make sure they have the correct name syntax:
And of course that you've (1) re-selected the game path and (2) chosen the Nikke.exe, not the launcher's exe

well since the sd hashes and the hd hashes are all together in the catalog.json I think it's possible..... but NMM only works with HQ/HD files tho
after to come back to play NIKKE I forgot I had my game settings with sd models, so NMM 0.3 was not working

The repacker works with mods renamed to NMM format for now, so if the mods got hashed names (random letters and numbers) you need to rename them one by one manually before to use the repacker

Can any modder help me please? I was trying to make a mod but in NMM it appears like this.
When I try to load up the game it stays stuck at 43% which I know is due to a mod, specifically this one as when I disable it the game loads fine. I followed the modding guide and the mod is viewable in the preview but causes the game to stay stuck. Anyone know why this might be?
I've done one for Pepper before using the same modding guide and it worked fine, so I'm not sure why this one doesn't

Tried that and it didn't work. But I believe mine is a different problem altogether.
Like you can see there the character that the mod is for isn't recognized for some reason, while the Rapi mod from Mr. Miagi is. I followed the mod making tutorial so I'm not sure where I went wrong and I think that is the reason why the mod is causes the game to get stuck.

if the mod is not encrypted you can use my lobby/burst swapper.... altought I don't remember if I shared the way here

I only saw the guide on how to do it with in game lobbies and skillcuts
the manual way is difficult to explain, the automated way is something like this but with the lobby swapper or the burstskill swapper

The filename is probably incorrect as NMM does not know the character name.
What is the actual file named? Show us in Explorer rather than in NMM

Getting the "Downloading configs... please wait..." issue with NMM. Made sure game path is selected and that version.dll is present in the folder. Also put NMM on the same drive Nikke is and tried both with and without a VPN to install, stuck anyways.
Ok I got it working. I had to nuke NMM .3 and download a fresh install of .31 (I was previously running .3 with the patch applied for the previews).
Oh, now it does apply but does nothing at all

did you copy the Nkab folder from nmm and merging it with the games nkab folder
Mods weren't working for me, so I:
- fully closed Nikke, incl. from system tray
- copied NKAB over to Nikke folder
- deleted addressables from Nikke folder
- ran Nikke unmodified
- fully closed Nikke again
- ran NMM and applied
mods confirmed working without needing to repack
Make sure you copy the contents of the NKAB folder into the nikke game folder, there's some files along with another folder make sure those files are copied into the game folder with the nikke.exe

- You can start applying without going into the game, just make sure file names are correct.
4.1. If, mods don't work after applying and going into teh game, go to the launcher menu and click repair files. Then try again the steps above

If you're stuck there you may have an invalid mod that's causing the game to get stuck there.
Try disabling all and enable one by one to see which one is causing the problem.

launch the game. If you can open it fully without issues, close the game, open nmm, choose the game folder and try applying again

Can you show me the NMM settings screen?
The presence or absence of PMA must match the settings in the game.
In the case of NIKKE, it must be enabled.
I don't know how the preview function works, but it may not be necessary to have PMA.
I FIGURED IT OUT!! So it turns out when exporting I was selecting the best quality which seems to somehow cause the PMA to be applied.
I changed it to smallest file size and changed the sampling method to bilinear and IT WORKS!!
I'm still not sure whether it is because of the sampling method or the save method that causes the artifacts but I just booted up in game and don't have the artifacts anymore after using the PNG I exported used those settings.
I just saw the video you posted though and I think it might be time to learn how to use GIMP.
I'm just using PS since it's the one I've used all my life.
If you have paid Photoshop, I don't think you need to use the free GIMP.

You need to apply them again if you turn off or turn on some mods
You know you can just convert from PMA to STA on nikłe visualiser made by koshirei, right?
Then you don't need to worry about artefacts when doing transparent pixels
Just make sure to convert back to PMA before putting the texture in the mod tho
Now that I figured out the export stuff I think it works fine. It's just in that same video you posted it said that PS can mess up the transparency sometimes and that GIMP was recommended.
I did the first step and it looked messed up so I didn't try again.
Didn't know I had to convert back. Will try that way in the future too.
Trying to paint on PMA texture makes the overall image look bad tbh

Only use jewels on limited characters and collect the rest from your wishlist.

First, I installed a new mod, which didn't appear in game.
Second, I ran through your whole list of troubleshooting.
Finally, the newer mod shows up in game.

I was like this yesterday 1. I deleted the file from the tutorial in the message above. 2. After that, I went in to fix it in the game. After finishing I then closed it. 3. I then opened the NMM mod and I didn't put the mods in a folder. So I took out all the contents of the folder and only let the data be read. 4. I activated it then I went back to the launcher and fixed the launcher. 5. After that I started the game and everything was fine
you can try this one. maybe you have a syndrome (like to tidy up files in the form of folders for each mod)
you should not put mod files into a folder. because it will make you stuck in 4/7. let them be free without having to put them in a separate folder
it's like you put the RAPI mod (for example) in a folder so that it doesn't look confusing to you

Just put the three JSON files into one folder, and then upload that folder containing the JSON files on the website.

The folder you screenshot earlier isn't the main folder -- so first you run 1, 2, 3 in that folder
Then you go up a folder and you should have numbered scripts allowing you to run the repacker/swapper

i tried almost every fix, deleted the file in com.unity.addressables then open game without mod, quit game when touch to continue appears and apply mod, set the graphics to high, repair game, tried every mod in the manager, one by one, but still stuck at 43% add catalogue path.
stuck at 43% could be related to some of your mods being corrupted too
try leaving only one mod in your mods folder first to test if that fixes the issue

i put the mods elsewhere. just used some latest mod i just downloaded on modded-assets, i tried them one by one. but still stuck at 43%
close the game and NMM, then go here and delete everything in this folder (don't delete the folder)

The fix that worked for me was just to delete those files, run NMM as Admin and then just set nikke.exe path again and apply mods
(I also had to switch my game to high quality because I forgot)
I did as you said. Start by deleting all files in AppData\LocalLow\com_proximabeta\NIKKE\com.unity.addressables. Then I went to NMM, set the game path and applied the mod. In com.unity.addressable appeared an file named "undefined". Then I went into the game, when it finished loading and "touch to continue" appeared, "undefined" file disappeared by itself, when I went into the game I didn't see any change, so I turned off the game and applied the mod again. Then I went into the game, and of course, it was stuck at 43% again.
just in case... check if you have UnityCrashHandler64.exe in your game folder, and delete it
NMM should be deleting it for you but if not you need to do it manually
@void pond I downloaded the latest version of PhysicsFixer from github and the desktop did not generate a file after use. Using CharacterSwapper is all fine, so it shouldn't be due to the python environment

Yeah, what you need to do is opening Spine - click top left - use texture unpacker - select atlas file - unpack it to a folder
Then copy-paste skel file to that folder, and then open it with spine

Hey uh quick question, what does it mean by the "Character file" on the google drive for making mods?
it mentions some sort of bundle but I dont know what those are
Character files are encrypted, in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Unity\com_proximabeta_NIKKE\ you'll need to grab the one you want to work on and unpack it with NAU. Yeah, for example I'm working on Crown's skin, so I get the file called ceba7fac83e03826b7c79cb85f2e4a52 as you can check in the link, it's that skin's standing pose. You'll need to watch out for skin codes, like c330_00 is default Crown but c330_01 is the skin

Because there is a huge gatekeep which is Spine price. Without it what you can do is so freaking limited, and tend to have issues.
Even editing the textures with PS creates issues for example, for some weird reason only Paint.NET works (and probably some other but definitely not every program)
i've made some texture edits with paint.net but i don't think creating a youtube video out of my less than amateur performance would help anyone

at least to get some important pointers on how to start/from where. I usually only apply some tattoos on characters or just removing extra stuff like for example all the lights on Crown's skin. But looking at that Yan mod, you can do so much more. I think my main problem is that I'm clueless on how the positioning work, I can draw stuff but don't know how it'll look lmao. In some aspects, this is much harder than 3D. In 3D at least I know/see what I'm doing 
here, I modded like this before spine2d pro. It worked out well enough to get enough supporters to buy Spine2D Pro 😄

Did you try the portable version or the script version?
The script version requires a lot of stuff to be installed to use it so I made the portable version to skip that
How to install mods/Use NMM
- Delete old addressables at %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\com_proximabeta\NIKKE\com.unity.addressables.
- Use nmm 0.3, click Select Game Path and select game's .exe (\NIKKE\NIKKE\game\nikke.exe).
- Run the game fresh without mods, log in, then close the game.
- You can start applying mods now. Choose your mods, hit apply, wait for the config to finish downloading and then start the game.
If the mods don't work:
- Select Repair option in game's launcher and try the steps above again.
- Make sure the mod files aren't in any additional directories in the mod folder. They won't work that way.
- If you have further issues, make sure your game is installed on NTFS drive, so the nmm can create mod folder symlink to your game directory.
How to make mods appear in NMM?
- put the mod file(s) in <Your NMM path>\mods
Additional Notes:
Turning on and off the mods "on-the-fly" doesn't work. If you want to switch mods, simply close the game, select mods you want to have, hit apply again for the config to download and apply. Then launch the game again.
Game folder after choosing game's path should look like in the screenshot given.
Mods can break after bigger game patches (usually collabs and anniversaries). If that happens just wait for the modders to repack mods or repack them yourself, and wait for NMM's NKAB update (if mods don't work for anyone).

rather than paid mods, it was made to enable modding itself, because without NMM, you can't apply most types of mods manually, not anymore.
it's more like, while it enables modding, it also has additional features of allowing you to manage/organaise various mods and more features are being added on top
but main reason for NMM is to enable modding

Well as the error said, try opening the folder in VSCode. You can do that in various ways but the easiest way is to go to the folder where your generator.js is located, then right click at empty space (but within the folder) > Open with Code. This should open the folder in VSCode's workspace.
