I tried but I get mostly errors loading the .skel or .json. Do they need to be edited?

i just learned about mods for this game, just wondering how do i start installing mods on PC. Im assuming theres a program to be able to install said mods? ive played other games modded before so its not foreign to me, just new to nikke specifically.

U just need to copy the mods to the location of the other files and replace the original ones

How To Apply Mod:

Example path for Android - /sdcard/Android/data/com.proximabeta.nikke/files/eb
Example path for PC - C:\Users\Whateveryourusernameis\AppData\LocalLow\com_proximabeta\NIKKE\eb
Confirm overwrite
That's it. No seriously, that's all. 
Restarting game not required after applying mod just go in and out of outpost to reload

If path cannot be found/cannot overwrite files - turn on root and/or use another file explorer (cx file explorer) on playstore and/or ***TURN ON HIGH QUALITY TEXTURE***```

the texture error sounds like texture resolution is wrong

try doubling the resolution in a paint app

make a copy for backup

if you look in the atlas with notepad you can see the resolution it's calling for

Nice hint with the resolution. I learned again. But in fact I had another problem. The file names where the problem. He tried to load the normal character png (1024x1024)
but the right texture file had a different naming (2048x2048)

hi beginning mod user, just wanted to ask. if i use a mod for a character but decide to remove it to go back to the original how would i do that, would just deleting the mod file and clicking repair on the pc launcher bring back the original file? or do i have to make a copy of the original and save it

yep just delete the mod and repair, or if you saved a backup of the file before modding then just overwrite and should work

i'm uncertain where character audio is. my memory's telling me there are files in both eb and Unity but I can be wrong

and yeah every characters are made from spine animation so you need to find a visualiser that handles spine 4.1 or developp your own using spine tools

or nikke db or nikke gg that both already have a viewer

I triple-checked ed, in the com_proximabeta and there doesn't seem to be a audio files such as voicelines only reloads. I could be wrong too, since I'm not 100% sure my extraction was complete. I'l retry tomrrow

no you can't export as gifs. I don't know how to convert a canvas/webgl animation to .gif . best bet for now is to record it with obs or something and convert mp4 to gif

I actually had to ask spine devs to fix their cdn to make .png screenshots possible because it wasn't before

but export as gif seems a request too big for them especially when I'm not a customer of their tool

There is still something wrong. I try to swap Mast's base model to swimsuit model

I export the .atlas & .skel by asseststudio to get "c350_01.atlas"&"c350_01.skel.txt", and then append .txt & rename to get "c350_00.atlas.txt" and "c350_00.skel.txt"

Then I open the bundle of base model by UABEA, find the c350_00.atlas & c350_00.skel

I click Plugins - Import .txt - choose c350_00.atlas.txt or c350_00.skel.txt

Then I save and repack the bundle by Nikketools, and replace the origin file

When I open the game, it shows nothing but the background (Mast is set in the lobby)

Is there anything wrong in my procedure?

yeah thats cuz with new updates the old files are missing something which makes them pink ingame. So youll have to repack them or if lucky the mod creator will have updated their mods already. Not always the case but if you do want to fix the pink texture then there should be a repack guide somewhere. And youll need the no longer available NikkeTools

How do I update older mods? For example, I have a Dolla skin swap mod -- I know the filenames are outdated and need to be renamed, but when I look at Volume Simp's spreadsheet done by whytshadow, none of the filenames match (and I made sure I was on the 'PC' tab accordingly)

Switched to using the Nikke Mod Manager, but now the standing anim is completely pink -- aiming animation is fine though.

Make sure that the mods you got are ones released after 8/10 or 8/24. Otherwise you or someone else have to repack it.

i'm trying to make a mod, but when I edited the texture in ps, it added some unwanted white parts in the alpha channel, which I can't seem to see in photoshop, but is visible in assetstudio. Anyone know how I can edit the alpha channel/map to remove these white parts?

It got rid of most of it, but there's still a little bit of white around the edges, any ideas how to clean this up?

Just use the eraser tool and blindly run it along those edges

There wont be anything there that u can see, but it will fix it

tried renaming the files to replace the base and skin names in the respective stand crouch and aim pose does not work

trying now to view the files in the modmanager but i have a feeling i'm not going to be able to edit it like this

i think it just conveniently applies and deapplies mods

i will try now to open the files in some sort of paint editor

and then maybe apply the skin textures within the editor and then save it

to the base

however i believe i need to decrypt the files as they are not loading in the program

i see something called NikkeTools but when i go to the developer's repo it is no longer there

i'm guessing it got taken down for DMCA or something so now i will have to figure out how to decrypt the files without it somehow
