Regarding the lobby and burst, I confirmed that the __data created before the update still works (without NMM) if it's renamed and placed in the appropriate location.
of course it works, those never had checks on them besides name check

I'm not sure if it's only Eve, but the spine data for both the lobby and burst seems to be combined into a single file.
Replacing that one file affected both.
Is this what they mean by "optimization"?
There have been a handful of other characters with similar setups, don't remember them off the top of my head.
I might have experienced this before.
usually for lobby animation it's just the burst
but they have split the spine into two animation, burst and loop
lobby uses loop and adds a background image
at least that's how most lobby animation worked when I tried to add them onto the website

I loaded this same file with the atlas file that was related to the original json skeleton and it perfectly worked
I can't say that it's still working perfectly still, I tried to load original skel from the game and even though the file successfully got converted it didn't showed up in the live2d viewer.
so the png and atlas were not touched at all, and only the skel file was converted into json. but the result looks like what it would if atlas and png has different dimensions?

there's only so much you can fit in a 2048x2048 png. if you need more then it'll make a second png

Well that pretty much sums it up everything from my side, a final test needs to be done with moran's model. The problem is that I have made the script based on what J provided me as json. which works everytime, I mean most of time. The time when it doesn't work is when Shift Up dev team decides to play with something extra then their usual habits
The moran skin has IK timeline which generally isn't there in other models

I was confident that I will stick to the original structure but then I got frustated with attachment array in the animation part
and I said fuck it, because it wasn't changing no matter how much I refer to the offcial spine runtime files
so The end is this, it's huge json file compared to the original spine json file. because the vertex array is totally different then the original json.

The end result is still working so I am doubting that, that's just how the vertex in the original skel might be. because till end I am suffering no error, the stream gets written perefctly and final thing works even though it is different in the animation part

HMT and INT have almost identical structures, but in version 133.8.2Q, there's a 1GB difference in content between the two, but it's unclear what it is.

NMM directly processing unpacked files would work too, but the problem is that the JSON that gets generated through my tool is somehow 9x bigger then json from Spine

I think of this as gradual cheating. not swiftly completing campaing and tribe towers but do it slowly, farming the cores
@half boneping me if you ever want the script, it's in ts so it'll need to be transpiled
takes about 5 minutes to execute, but it seems pretty easy to make it "threaded" in 16 parallel scripts to make it go turbo faster

I make my own aeb and unity folders
then I crawl naps and pick the file 1 by 1 into either aeb or unity if they're encrypted or not
but in the end, I don't need to move unity files I can just leave them in naps it saves time
oic. just didn't see anywhere that made the unity path. so at the moment it's not used.

In the mean time, only the paths changed, and lobby/burst have their names now instead of __data afaik. but the method is still the same to mod them. to find files, you can use a1teri's file finder. if that's not working for some reason, you can open the decrypted catalog file in your IDE manually

Can we like, get an NMM feature to save presets etc. I personally have so many mods and I leave some of them disabled (mostly alternative mods) and it's a pain to deactive all and then enable them one by one after major game updates and stuff @scarlet pollen I think you were working on your own NMM version, can you maybe include something like that? maybe in a simple json file
you can go to your NMM folder and make a backup of your "settings.json" file

yea..I can see why it wont work online since I'm trying it out now. No way anyone got time to upload 16 or 17GB files. and I'm not even thinking if the website itself can handle it. So I'll just write a tutotial how to use it. But I'll have to try it out myself first to make sure that anyone could do it. But I got an error. well, there were 2 errors initially when I just opened the file, on "node:fs" and on "process", but installing Typescript and @types/node fixed those. Now have this error instead (img). Its a red squiggly line, so I'm sure you would've noticed it, so my guess its something on my side. Here is what I did do far:
- I had node and npm installed globally to begin with, so in the tutorial, I'll prolly have to mention that.
- I installed typescript and @types/node locally. because I think most people here don't really need to have it installed permanently on their device.
- Installed ts-node because tsc doesn't run if typescript isn't installed globally.
- finally did
npx ts-node naps-splitter.ts
And I got the same error, but in console this time:

the IDE was telling me path was deprecated so I probably have a old node version, though when I compared doc and my version I should've used parentPath but it didn't work
if you have ts-node you don't need npx, just ts-node will work

so replacing it with parentPath shows no error in the IDE, but got this error instead (img1) when I tried to run it. asked ai how to fix this, was told to use node --loader ts-node/esm naps-splitter.ts instead since ts-node somehow can't recognize .ts file (yea I dun get it..isn't that why it exist in the first place??). So I did that and got a different error now (2nd img)

the 25000 files took me 5 minutes, I'd have expected around 1 minute for just 4500
But can I make a request? Since the files that stayed in naps are non-NAU files, and only the files in aeb is what matters, how about not deleting anything from the naps itself? everything in naps stays as is, but the things that is related to NAU, are just copied to aeb. that way, people wouldn't have to clone the entire naps folder as well and directly just set the path to the original naps folder. since copying 16gb takes some time as well
I did it that way so I can load the naps folder onto my asset studio

that eats a lot of RAM... and assetstudio can't load encrypted files

yea, but don't decrypt the original naps folder because you will corrupt your games files and next time you launch your game you will have to download the 18GB again

for replacing small icons: In the official bundle, all characters share the same texture. Whenever a new character is added, the order of characters on the sprite sheet is reassigned, and the official icons are not all the same size. Now, they are uniformly 128px. make a long-term valid position that doesn’t require re-slicing or redrawing during updates. However, repacking is still needed during updates; otherwise, new characters will lack icons. The best tools currently considered are Repacked 1.5 or a specific Doro tool.
for ppl trying to swap EVE default lobby the issue is: her lobby is the type that is shared with her burstskillcut file... so my lobby swapper will not work with her, but if you swap her burst skillcut with my burst swapper then you will see her lobby swapped to the character you want as well

if you have the game and NMM on another external drive and not in C: it's normal to have issues applying the mods, that's why I recommend to install on C: and after that you can move the data to the drive you want
