save the file with "_MOD" at the end and hit "close"
re-open the saved file and then select "compress" and save the new file with something like "xxxx_comp_MOD"
when you select compress those options will appear

I made two versions of transparency, personally I like the first one more
In the following, I express RGBA values as byte (ranging from 0 - 255), the math between sraight shading and PMA shading is pretty simple
RGB PMA = (RGB Straight * A) / 255
example 1, 0% transparency: RGB values are identical in Straight and PMA shading cause 120(straight) * 255 / 255 = 120(pma)
example 2, 75% transparency: RGB values in PMA shading are x % of RBG values in straight shading, 120(straight) * 64 / 255 = 30(pma)
In other words, if you want to have something more transparent by x%, you also need to need turn the lightness for the RGB channel down by x%. If you don't, the RGB values are multiplied by 255 and result a lot brighter later on ingame. That is why a lot of people end up with white artifacts. Cause they have pixels with low alpha values.
Thinking in reverse, from PMA to stright shading, everything that is more transparent, becomes brighter, so pixels that have low alpha values and aren't entirely black (or the underlying pixels), will result mostly white ingame later.
Depends lastly on the graphic software you use of, and how it interprets the textures. Photoshop lacks in support for that, no option to convert and no way to tell how transparent a pixel in the RGB channel is (not by simple means). Also the so called superpng don't have alpha channel basicly.

yeah, depends on the software though what "brigtness" means. In photoshop it's lightness.
E.g if you you have a an pixel with an RGB of 120, 60, 30 and you want 50% transparency, the resulting pixel must have an RGB of 60, 30, 15

Spine pro has a converter that generates textures from pma to straight alpha and vise versa, so you can work with textures without any issues. I currently try to a stand alone one
