maybe add some things herobrine could say in chat once he jumpscares you with crash enabled?

could be any things, literally same stuff he says on signs.

obviously he wouldn't say anything if crash isn't enabled, he'd be way too chatty then.

If I am correct I dont think datapacks can use the chat or something along that line..
I could be wrong since the rewrite but I posted and have seen quite a few posts in the past that have been turned down for the same thing I said above..

I could see this working with fake chat which was also a previous suggestion of mine which is a fake display that looks like Herobrines using the chat but it will have to disappear instantly so that when the player opens chat they dont see 2 "chats" overlaying..

I am pretty sure the fake chat suggestion also got turned down though, for different reasons but ya know.. ^u^

Will still updoot though because its neat tbh..

Also a side note, a cool message from Herobrine in particular on Crash Mechanic would be "Wake Up!". ^u^
