My friends can't see herobrine and more

2.herobrine does not do some of its functions or simply does not appear anymore

Herobrine appears to players at random, it sounds like you just so happen to be seeing him more often than not.
Once you first sight him he should always appear, if he isn't showing up then give it a minute.
Difficulty does not influence aggression, he will never be aggressive.
