how to add custom skins to a previously created server?

I have a server on aternos and I have the skins done. I have the "output" file along with the other one. Where do I put the folder or put the stuff inside the folder? Whenever I tried to put it in model's and textures, it corrupts the skin, making checkered arms and head. I've set it as the data-pack and resource pack so I am confused as I cannot find where to put which file where and have it show up correctly.

FTF is completely multiplayer friendly! Be sure to use the datapack for any servers you may make as the mod may have unexpected consequences. If I'm understanding correctly, you have the default resource pack and also the custom skin?

Just use the custom skin as a resource pack on top of your regular herobrine one

you need both enabled

if you want everyone to be able to see it, you'll need to either give them all the resource pack, or merge and upload it which is a bit more involved
