#Hiding in your (underground) walls

i had an idea based on my memories of a few old herobrine sightings back in the day. basically, the player would be mining and find some ore, so they'd go up to it and mine it, only to see herobrine staring at them in the face from a small air pocket hidden directly behind the ore, as if he set it up as a trap. so i've been thinking about how that could be implemented into from the fog.

basically, a herobrine npc would spawn noclipped inside the walls of a cave underground, with its upper half and head in a valuable ore like diamond and the lower half in the block below it. then, when it's mined, they'll see herobrine directly staring at them in face before he quickly disappears.

details:

  1. there should be no air pocket since directly destroying the blocks might cause complications, such as destroying other ore behind it or destroying unnecessarily when a player misses it (and also that sounds way more annoying to program).
  2. it should probably make sure the block hiding the lower half isn't ore itself, just to encourage the player to mine the top one first. his legs aren't nearly as scary as his face.
  3. it should only spawn when the blocks are only exposed on one surface max for either one, and disappear if more is exposed after spawning. while i said itd be best to remove the air pocket, i still think it'd be better to keep it from one angle to give the illusion that he's moreso hiding behind it rather than stuck inside it.
  4. might be finicky and unnecessary, but id encourage only having it appear if the player is at eye level with herobrine to make it more directly in your face. maybe keep it invisible unless the player has around the same Y-coordinate?
  5. just a tiny bonus idea that is probably way too extra, but maybe have it extremely likely to happen in parts of structures you're "not supposed to" mine through, like ocean monument walls or the redstone area of jungle temples
