It does, please don't make statements like that in the future. Show me how you have it downloaded.
It is not a “statement”. It is simply what happened to me otherwise I would not have joined this server or asked for help. I downloaded both the mod version and the datapack version and tried to run the fabric 1.19.2 and 1.19.3 with them. Both with just the mod, then with the mod and with the datapack selected during the world creation, and then the same thing again but also using the datapack as a resource pack. I don’t see how I can use this mod for multiplayer use to send items between players. Anyways when selected as a datapck or a resource pack, Minecraft said that those were incompatible because were made for a newer version apparently, so I don’t understand. If this mod is just a resource pack for the Allay without any actual mechanic or real Owl I think it was not clear from the description 😭
It is not just a resourcepack for the allay, in fact it doesn't modify the allays texture or model, it adds a new mob using datapacks but it uses the allay as a base.
If you enabled both the datapack and the resourcepack then you can run /function owls:summon/default
As for the "it's not a statement" thing, it was as you said the mod doesn't work for 1.19.2 or 1.19.3. It does and I was simply trying to correct you.
Ohh ok so I have to summon them. I looked in creative mode for a spawn egg and I could not find any nor I did not know which biome they spawned in XD
All of that info in on the website.
Allright! So do I just use the mod version or also the datapack?
Either or
I prefer the datapack personally
It’s easier to update
Ok I see. I tried the summon command and it works. However, when I hover the owl and I get the info from WTHIT, the owl is named as an "Allay" still.
On top of that, can I also ask how the messenger system works? Do I click the owl with an item or how am I supposed to get it to send items to my friends in multiplayer? XD if it has been explained somewhere else I must have missed it. I didn't find any guide on the website
And it doesn't just show as "Allay" but also as an "Armor stand" when hovering with WTHIT. I just checked now 😦
Last thing that I noticed after trying this mod: if you name the Owl with a nametag, it won't show the name. I can only see it with WTHIT and it appears as either Edvige (Allay) or Edvige (Armor Stand)
Datapacks are very different from the way classic mods work. Think of them more like command block creations that have been upgraded a lot to use files and custom textures and models. There’s significantly more to it than that, but they can’t add new mobs without using existing mobs to make it appear and move, that’s why it shows up different with WTHIT. Naming them with a nametag, however, is something I feel should be made a feature that hasn’t been made yet
Yes, but this thing with the Allay/Armor Stand appears both if I use it as a mod or if I load is a a datapack.
Our mods at LES are just the datapack and the resourcepack combined in a format that a mod loader can run. They do the exact same things, just in a different package
That’s why it happens
Okkey, thank you for the clarification. I understand that there is no "solution" for that
