PROLOGUE:
Ted: teary-eyed, he says im gonna miss you…
Diego: Diego stares with a somewhat sad and “worried” look on his face, before gently bring ted’s face to his, gently making their lips touch, leaving a bloody handprint marked on Ted’s face.
Ted and Diego both exchange a small smile, before Diego faces forward again, wincing in pain a final time, before a faint, breathless sigh comes out of his mouth. he’s dead.
PART 1: LEAVING RUDDLESIDE.
Ted: ted sniffles a bit, before crying. He hugs Diego’s soulless body, silently praying he somehow comes back to life. He didn’t. He looks into Diego’s shut eyes, trying his best to compose himself.
ted manages to compose himself enough to think, but he still is faintly crying. He is a bit unsure what to do with Diego’s body, and he thinks about burying it.
He slowly, and carefully lifts Diego’s body, carefully putting it into the passenger seat.
Ted: he silently mutters to himself i-I… I can’t believe I let this happen…
ted starts the car and slowly drives, as there isn’t exactly anyone to tell him off about not going the speed limit. he occasionally looks at Diego’s body, and faintly cries
Ted: I-I still don’t know what to do with Diego… s-should I rest his body somewhere?
he thinks for a moment, still not knowing what to do.
eventually, he decides to gently pick up Diego’s body again, and rest it against a tree. He looks at Diego, and starts to tear up again. He doesn’t want to leave him, but he has to. He needs to move on.
ted starts to walk back to the car before driving off again, very hesitantly. As soon as he does, he bursts out into tears

(CONTINUING PART 1)

Ted: w-why? Why did Mia h-have to shoot him? That b-bitch…
ted tries to compose himself, taking in deep, shaky breaths.
ted drives on for a bit, and manages to find what looks like a somewhat abandoned city. There could be civilisation here.
Ted: a-alright… I’ll stay here (the car) for tonight, a-and I’ll search for people tomorrow…
ted slowly falls asleep, still thinking about Diego, he can’t without crying. He stills misses him
Ted: I-Im sorry Diego… I-i couldn’t save you.
PART 2: FINDING A COMMUNITY
the next morning
ted slowly wakes up, with red puffy eyes from yesterday, which reminds him of everything that happened. he brings he knees up to his chest and looks through the large windscreen, watching the sun rise
ted: y-you made the sky pretty for me...
he thinks for a moment
ted: i think i'll continue driving after i eat something...
ted realises that his cans of food was in his crashed truck, and he curses under his breath
ted: i guess i'll start d-driving now...
he turns the key, and the engine revs a few times before fully turning on
he continues to drive to the possible city he spotted yesterday
he eventually parks parallel to a sidewalk, before exiting the car cautiously
Ted: well... i guess this i-is a new start...
